Once again "THANK YOU" to all for the great feedback.
I haven't posted updates for a couple of reasons.......... Probably the one reason that has caused the most angst's.... and rolling curse words, has been my failure to quadruple check my math. Well I guess Mrs Ferndale my High School algebra teacher was right. I would need math... the rotten stinkin so and so.........
The challenge has been the radio operators side tracks. Because I built the vehicle then the tracks...... thinking I'd be able to "tweek" them as I needed. Well that was a huge F-ing mistake. So I have been reworking the tracks and wheels to get them to fit. I am currently 95% done with that process.
The singular advise I would pass down to those wanting to create an entire model from scratch without use of an F-ing 3D printer is..... DO YOUR GD MATH AND QUADRUPLE CHECK IT

I feel your Pain. Scratch building the Barrel Limber for a K-18 Working on the Pintle/Hitch.. On the same part for the 4th time. About ready to throw the Lathe out the window.
And trust me Even if you're printing, your math better be right. All the computer is, is a $10,000 tool you still need to know how stuff works and fits that's why the Generator has been delayed, Made the dang thing so complicated I can't cast it without it being a 4 part mold or pour blocks the size of Texas so I am having to break it down to smaller assemblies. (First time having anything printed so it was a learning experience also with a whole different set of issues.)
Stick with it you'll get it. Looking good though.

Very close to the finish line, just remember to do the proper inches-metric conversion so you don't overshoot it by accident!

Well, it's back to work on ole Mr. Ferdinand......... Right now he's abooot 98 percent complete. Gonna fix the tracks and complete minor weathering. And that will be that, 100 percent scratch build, down to the tracks. After that I'm actually going to work on the base....should be fun, considering I haven't finished a base since Clinton was in office.

Looking forward to seeing it on a base.

First off, thank you to all for the support and VERY kind words. There are days where I think the monster isn't bad. Then there are days where I truly believe it's a steaming pile of horse dung..... But I think most of us are critical of our own work, probably more so than others...... Anyway updates to follow. Working the radio operators side tracks AGAIN

I haven't left anywhere near enough comments on your truly inspiring scratch-work - many apologies! But I think most of us are critical of our own work, probably more so than others Yep, I second that! Whenever I receive praise for my modelling from people who I consider to have vastly superior skills a little voice in my head goes 'are they pulling my leg'? Maybe your next base will get done when the other Clinton is in office?

Can't wait to see it 100% completed... how much does it weight now I have to ask.

Deaf Panzer... GREAT QUESTION...... of all the questions I've been fortunate to field about the Ferdinand nobody ever asked that one. Now I don't have a scale to weigh it, BUT I would put it between 4 and 6 pounds. It's heavy. What with the support and stuff nobody was ever to see. It also has a 3/4 interior visible around the Hauptmann. It also has a "Shep Paine" inspired engine compartment, PARTIALLY visible through the engine grates. add 2 figures, and a few detail parts IT's heavy.
Thanks again for a GREAT question......

Well like I accidentally posted on my BergePanther post, (getting old), the Ferdinand is COMPLETE.....
There are some small details that will be tweaked on completion of the base.
