It seems like it's been forever (well since December 2013 at any rate!) since I've worked on an armor project. Now that my debt to CB's been paid and I completed my buddy's Enterprise-E starship build...it's time to get my feet back on the ground! This little guy's been calling my name ever since I finished the Tiger, so here's the next victim.

Jeff, no figure included but it does have workable tracks (which I already test-assembled a run of 10 on and they are NIIIICE!). T, me too...been a while!

Great! I've got the Hobbyboss version on the shelf. It'll be nice to see a how the Bronco version builds up.

Mark, good to be back! Tony, no kidding eh? This is what happens when I do too good of a job on something...the Galactica was supposed to be a one-off! Bob, glad to have you along as well, so far looking over the sprues I'm pretty impressed with the level of detail Bronco has included. Full interior for the fighting compartment and turret means that space is going to be pretty cramped when it's all said and done I think! Lui, yep, the perfect example of German bureaucracy unable to stop the wheels turning on a particular project...been reading up on these little guys and their original intent were to be used as 'assault' tanks against bunker-type fortifications hence the 80mm thick frontal armor as called for in 1940...but they weren't built until 1942 and then only 30 of them...so quite the little 'novelty' vehicle in the grand scheme of things.

Hello Bill, Count me in on this one. These beasties have always made me think that when it grows up it wants to be just like its big brother…..a Tiger. Sorry, I couldn't resist. Well, I could have. My wife tells me I chose not to and that I have impulse control issues. Dave

Did you miss me Carl? DR, pull up a chair, plenty of room! Dave, I think it goes without saying that all model-builders have impulse control issues! I agree, this little guy isn't called the pocket-Tiger for nothing!

Point taken Bill. No worries about me copying this time. Don't have a Pz I in the stash. After the gill man, since I will still have some water in my ears, I am going to give a ship a try. There... I said it out loud. Isn't that have the battle

There you go Bill, was that so hard? You were right, the tracks look super. Is that a jig underneath them to keep them even?

Yes, kit-supplied jig for the individual links so you can more easily insert the separate pins to either side. Holds 10 links at a time, so goes pretty quick. No separate hollow horns either, so the clean-up and assembly goes pretty quick with these.

That is cool. So the pins must be friction fit or do they snap in place?
