Stunning work! It's looking very pantheresque in a berge sort of way

Here is a quick shot of the "test fitting" of the winch, or as I call it the wench......

Well, anyone who's ever scratch built anything knows that it's like building a giant Jig Saw puzzle. After awhile I just get tied of "building" . So I started painting a couple of sections....in this case it's the Sporn.....German roughly meaning Trail Spade.....

Here is an overnight update....
These are the "guide rollers" for the cable on the wench, (yes I know it's winch). Sorry that the pic's are a tad blurry. These things are tiny. The metal components are from that wine bottle again. Later today I'll add the spring at the rear of each roller......

Two of the hardest components still remain: 1). The stinking side skirts.... 2). Wheels...
In this case we are gonna talk abooooot the stinking rotten idler wheel..... See the pic's. You'll see my wheel from 25 years ago, my start of the "correct" wheel, (well as close as I can get), and the real wheel.

Looks like you've got your work cut out for you... BTW, the bit marked 'socket' on the first picture is a grease-nipple (fnar, he said nipple)
