... read some articles that the Germans had them heavily greased because there are no protection from salt water on the torpedoes. (In my best Arte Johnson) Hmmm... very interesting. (Then the voice in my hear... that's rarley listended to...) NO! STOP! YOU SAID YOU WERE DONE! LET IT THE "F" ALONE!

Yeah, sounds cool: Saltwater and metal, even greased! I keep that in my middle brain for saving issues!

DS, Thanks fella. Frank, Yes, that does a little explaining In the not too distant past wbill76 did this kit. Andy was an active (read that verbose ) follower. I joined late and we both were kind of into the whole idea of that kit. And wbill76, whose full name is Bill Plunk (that will be important in a sec) suggested we got toe to toe so to speak. so... every ship must have a Captain and T came up with "Captain Plunk's Revenge" I stuck that into Google translate but used the very literal translation of the word "plunk" - zupfen - since it looked like a fun word.

Guys- Little update... maybe not? Had to abandon my original plan using resin base... it won't fit inside the frame. So went to the hobby shop to see if I can find something bigger from Evergreen in plastic. BUT I end up bringing home this set... All I can say... "WTF"... what have I done?!?!? LOL Paid $50 for this but it is pretty long and comes in two sets so I will use only one. I will trim it to fit inside the frame. I don't want it to be too big but I liked the elevated concept so I am going for it! Marc- I hope I got the right kind of resin putty... it said it works well on plastic. Decals have been applied... I chose this scheme because I thought those markings were cool and colorful. Its shiny at this moment as I sprayed clear gloss to seal the decals. Can't wait to start weathering...

Bill- Thanks professor! One thing I forgot to mention about Bronco decals... noticed they were thicker and not 100% clear. They were pain in arse... worse than Tamiya I thought. Wondered if others have had similar experience?
Marc- LOLOLOLOL Glad you likey-ed my update... planning to spray flat matt on it tonight so it means I can not touch it for 24 hours or so. But will get started on the base... can't wait! Thanks partner!

Wondered if others have had similar experience? I treat all my decals with Solvaset and you have to be a little more patient with the Bronco decals than other brands for them to respond and snug down in my experience. This is one of their older kits and the decals took a little longer to respond than some of their newer kits I've worked on like the Marder II-D but they did eventually. Of course, I used only the very small ones on my Seehund...the larger ones that you choose would probably have needed a little more help to ensure they behaved correctly.

Of course test the epoxy putty but I think you should be fine. Says so right on the label.

I have same thing... love that stuff Solvates!!! I swear I used nearly half of bottle just for this little b@stard. LOL Using Future really helps smooth it out too. Thanks my friend!!!

Leon- Thanks my favorite wizardo!!! Mr T- Glad you like it better... when I saw it at the shop I knew right away I had to get it!!! LOL Now it means more work for me painting that base along with its accessories... it will be fun! Must finish it by March 15th for the show... sooner would be nice! Frank- LOL! Me too... will start as soon as I am done painting the base... little delay as I may have bite off more than I can chew. LOL Thanks bro! Guys- Another update... worked on the base while flat matt is drying on the sub. Cut the dock to fit inside the frame... the gap will be filled with water. Also I found the dock to be too tall so I cut it in half so it looks about right to me now... One thing I wish the kit came with... something to hide the rear but lucky I had some thick styrene sheets to make it better. Added plenty to 'L" shaped rods make it more firm... Nice thing about this set... it came with nice amount of accessories. I didn't like the look of the life ring so I cut the plastic rope parts and I will replace with strings next. More to come... thanks for looking!

A high level of coolness my friend. I am glad you are finishing this up on your own and that you were just kidding in that post when you said for me to come finished it. Bro, on our 1st meeting there will be too may cocktails to be using sharp tool and toxic chemicals.

Great start up! This base, or should I say kit, is a very nice addition to the Seehund. What I have forgotten to ask, do you plan in any figures??

Marc- Thanks partner... that's why I had to get that set even tho it will require more work! I am cool with that as I have til March 15 to finish it for the show. I am really looking forward to Columbus. Both Rob and Todd will be there too... those bars better stock up on booze! LOL
Leon- Thanks wizardo!!! Can't wait to paint the dock too!
Bill- Thanks professor! LOL! Especially if you live in a neighborhood run by nazi HOA. What happened to your avatar? Was it deflated by the Patriots too? LOL
Frank- Thanks buddy! Yep, you know my rule... all builds must have a figure or more. I believe it helps bring life that way. I got a resin figure to go with this... already started painting over the weekend I will post an update in few minutes. Marc was not kidding... I enjoy doing figures more than anything else. LOL

Update... it has been fun so far! The dock is ready to be primed and painted... Started working on the figure... it is probably the most easiest one so far due to little details and all just black. LOL Base coat was dark grey, then highlighted with neutral grey then finally washed with heavily thinned black. Time to work on the flesh part... thanks for looking!
