Do you think my Lady would love that set? Hell, there is a dead cat and that would be my doom showing it to her, rofl! But I love the sets from mantis in general and can imagine so much more animals they could do!

Guys, FINAL update I promise... the animal sets I ordered from Australia have arrived finally. Took them nearly three weeks to deliver it. Jeez! Bird was nice! Was afraid the legs would break if I glue them to the base. So I added a metal pin... let's say it will be BBQ'ed soon. Done! Just in time for the model show tomorrow... it will be fun! Again thanks for tagging along it is always great having you around my friends!

Neato. If you're entering this I see some new hardware in your future. Good luck at the tables and with the judging!

You should have the bird actually making a shxxxxxx deposit on the piling. Also, didn't noticed until the bird shot made it more prominent. Rope looks a little clean. What do you think? Good luck at the (in my best Ed Sullivan voice) "Big Shoe"

Jimmy- Thanks bro... not sure if they will let me enter it into Ship or Diorama category at IPMS show. I am hoping I can enter it into ship category... that would be fun!
Marc- Thanks partner! Great catch on the "clean" ropes... burning too much midnight oil it is starting to get me now. LOLOLOLOL Will apply dark washes and some grime.

They finally arrived! Posting stuff from NZ or Australia to the States or Europe can take a while, I generally have a four week waiting time if my folks send stuff to my kids here in Belgium. I won't even get started on the tax customs puts on the stuff!! Glad you were able to get it all done before the show, good luck with everything this weekend mate and once again this is a really fantastic diorama! I feel gold coming along your way...if not in prizes a beer or two!!

Yes I am so glad they arrived just in time! Its funny... packages from China or Japan arrives my doorstep less than a week. Made me wonder why? I have to remember they don't have "Foster's" beer...
Glad you liked... it will be fun! Seeing friends at the show is the best part and shopping at vendors table too of course! LOL

Wow, Deaf, the birdy is in, looks way cool (first, after seeing the unpainted pinned figure I thought, hey, he sculpted the bird) and fits perfect in the scene. Those small add ons make it really and all luck on the show, have a beer or two and enjoy. And write down an article about it, with tons of pics. Harhar!

Nice to see the gull take its perch just in time Andy! Shipping stuff across the Pacific all comes down to basically 3 factors: 1) mode of shipping (surface vs. air) 2) size (weight/dimension restrictions affect #1) and 3) cost. Part of #3 is customs clearance and whethr or not you've pre-registered with US Customs for international shipments. If you haven't, then stuff can take longer to clear as a result and then make its way to you via the USPS. For example, I got a package sent from Japan via Japan's post service and delivered by USPS to my door in less than a week...but the box was relatively small and I paid a couple of extra dollars for the faster service vs. slower service. You can get anything sent anywhere overnight around the globe just about...but only if you're willing to pay for it.

Frank- LOL! There may be an article coming up... will share details when it is official. The show was great!!! Will post pictures... I am still crawling from the show and my youngest son is sick with fever at temp of 102 right now.
Bill- I am with you. The package is pretty small and almost flat. The seller was clever to fold the boxes flat and wrap the resin parts in bubbles wrap. I guess our government likes China better than most countries... LOL
Bob- Maybe I should enter it into MoM again just for fun? LOL
