Andy the base is looking great. Once weathered that is gonna be smokin' Glad you like that epoxy putty. you'll find other uses for it too. Great for welds and I've even used it to make small casting molds for tiny parts.
Thanks for the compliments Wes.

Looking good Andy. Good to see the pier is NOT made out of Lego's...lol, just couldn't resist bud. Boat and pier looking damn fine so far. Oh yeah, it does payoff to have at least a couple of really good, and expensive, brushes. I still have a couple I bought in Germany almost 15 years ago and only use them for things like eyes or micro scratches and chipping.

LMAO!!! I miss those old days playing Lego with my boys when they were so young. Glad you liked it too!!! My wife gave me a replacement for Series 7 number 0 for Christmas but I haven't opened it yet... I use that brush too often now. Amazing that you are still using same ones from Germany... bet they even come with Zimmerit too!!
Thanks boss... always good hearing from you and I am REALLY looking forward to Auburn!

Boys and stuff kept me busy until today... started the weathering stage on both dock and Seehund. ] Used brown-blue wash... left has been washed while right is not you can see the difference. It can be messy but after few runs cleaning it up... Tomorrow I will clean it up a bit more before I can start applying rust streaks next. Thanks for looking!

Geez Andy, you've got a better stocked paint rack than most stores I've been in!
Sub's looking really good.

Don't you hate when life gets in the way and I know that all too well. You do make good use of the time you put in. The weathering is really making this pop.

Bob- LOL! Hoarder I may be! You should see my local hobby shop... they have great selections especially on Vallejo and Tamiya. Thanks buddy! Marc- Thanks partner! Yeah my family comes first especially my boys as they may move out of the house in 4-6 years. Glad you liked the process... more to come! Worked on the sub again this morning... made the streaks look softer. Sometimes it is best to allow them to dry long enough before you can work on them again. Rust streaks are NEXT!

Leon- Thanks buddy! I am really trying... for some reason my mojo is not with me this week. I only have a month left to finish that sub and do some touch ups on two other builds so they will be ready for the model show.
Bill- And I L-O-V-E sushi! I am sure you have seen my posts eating sushi. LOL Good one... chipmunk season is around the corner! Can't wait...

Mini-sub getting closer to the finish line... applied rust streaks. Tomorrow I will tone down some streaks as I want them to look subtle. Pin detailing is probably next...
