It's going slowly right now. I'm fixing some of the seams, so it's a matter of: fill, sand, prime, swear, repeat.
I'm hoping to have a bit more to show very soon.

Hello all,
It has been a good few days on the Mitchell.
She's basically together.





I still have a little detail work to do on it, but not too much.
By the way, the nose and cowlings are only on her temporarily. The instructions suggest not mounting them permanently until after paint and decals.

The base is just a small cardboard box I cut so the fuselage would sit in it.

I had to raise her up so I wouldn't break the nose gear. that was the best I could come up with (it works). I may even use the box while I am putting paint on.

Hello everybody,
After about a month of waiting for mother nature to cooperate, I finally got the base coat on the Mitchell.
I have started putting a few decals on, but there's still a lot to go.

Thank you George. It shouldn't be too much longer on her. I haven't decided just yet how heavily weathered I will make her, but my uncle did tell me the planes were not clean at all.

Nice to see paint go down on this one Bruce. I always count my blessings that I live in a relatively low humidity area most times of the year. That and painting indoors with a moisture trap ensures I'm not as constrained by the whims of nature. Hope she cooperates with you on the next round!
