Thanks Andy and Bill. I like the rusty look very much, so I use it as often as I can The boat will be 41cm long. A good size to take with me Yesterday I bought some material to build a building slip and a strip clamp. Hope that works, cause it's much cheaper to build it by myself.

Hey Guys, last days I only made a few upgrades of existing parts. First I finished the stairs. Old stairs allways look more used than my did. So I tried to look them more weared by polishing the stages. Then I splitted up the banister and finished it with some nails. I built two new benches because the old one was too large for my scale The pines got a few pinecones. On the diorama they do not look as pushy as on the pic At least I rebuilt the ground at the bottom of my small hill so that the sand is really fixed now.

Nice work Angi. The weathering on your bench seats and stairs is perfect.

The landscape is nearly perfect, the wood weathering looks really good! As for the lighthouse: Being an old horror story fanatic, I have read some novels with lighthouses. And that gave me the idea: What do you think of some guano on top of your build?
Cheers,
Frank

Well, I think, that would give a very realistic look. There are lots of seagulls and other birds at the shore and all of them... you know what I mean

Your answer leads the way: Add some birds, too!

Some nice upgrades/additions there for sure Angi. A flock of seagulls always adds potential!

Hey guys, thanks a lot for your praise. That feels very good Last week I asked in my german forum for a jeep kit. One of the guys gave me one as a gift. I only had to pay for shipping I did not want a military look so I painted the Jeep in one of my favorite colors. After that I handled it with sandpaper and scalpel. Then I used structure rust filter (http://www.true-earth.com/contents/en-uk/p158_Ru.html). That is a really nice stuff. Does anyone know? Ok, here are the pics of my new jeep I have to work a the lights in the front again. They are painted inaccurate. And the winkers have to be orange Hmmm... my work on the dio slowly comes to the end. I worked at the sea the last days. I think, I will finish the beach this week. And then there are only the figures waiting to be paint.

Cool Jeep! Is it a diecast model??? As for true-earth: Do you have their book, too? To my knowledge, they stopped producing, but I could be wrong and only my supporter does not carry them any more...

Your lighthouse dio looks really great.
Every year I make holiday at the Baltic Sea and it remains me to the typical lighthouses there.
Cheers Matt
