Thanks, guys! The big work on the ship is just about done now. (Driver's wheelhouse missing here.)
Handy that the bad guy's uniforms are modelled after certain widely available figures!
Very relieved to see that all the LED strings survived.
Downlights above the ramp aren't really visible from outside the model. 12V hookup test
Conning tower also painted. There are still the engine shields to be installed, (Glue drying presently.) the downlock struts on the ramp, the landing gear doors as well as the dual laser rifles up on the turret hatch. Once the ship is complete, I should be able to finish the four figures and the associated deck equipment and call my participation in the Star Wars group build complete. The last few days of April "May" be a possible finish! Thanks for watching this as it's taken shape over the last 3 months. John

How do you top this? Steve H I'm giving serious thought to one of these in 1/35: There's just 4 or 5 unfinished things which really need work prior to taking on something like that. Thanks for stopping by!

Really, REALLY impressive! "Handy that the bad guy's uniforms are modelled after certain widely available figures!" Hmm, yes - reminds me of certain Hugo Boss designs

John, I have been following with interest, I started with "what the hell" and progressed to "amazing". I cannot wait to see this finished and crewed up. Well done Sir!

Thanks, everybody! Getting quite near the end now. Laser rifles and engine shields. There's also a boom lift and a couple of figures. This might be ready for photographs in the next 24 if I'm lucky.

Awesome work. I am curious where u got the LEDs? I buy most of my hobby electronics here: www.superbrightleds.com/I wanted to add a slightly sinister droid to the scene. It turned out better than I had planned. Somewhat less sinister without gloss black paint. Completion pictures in the morning are a real possibility.
