I wonder if we could name this one Steel Cats II or something of the sort. Just an thought.......... BTW.....I remember that one and that WAS a long time ago. Wasn't that tigerman that ran that one? Good memory Joe. You are correct. I was actually a participant in that GB hosted by Tigerman. I was unable to complete my entry and, as such, I still have a half built Tamiya 1/35 Tiger Mid Production toted up and in my closet. But, some day dadgummit....... Now wouldn't that be something to see THAT guy over here. |

I don't believe I've EVER built a tank !
So if you don't mind a newbie joining in I'd like to try it ...
Got a panther on order, just hope you won't mind me asking too many daft questions during the build !

Of course I'm in. And LOL since the last group build I participated in was ~10 years ago, Steel Cats on FSM and I built 2 Ausf A's. So, I also have not decided yet. A blast from the past  |

I was looking at that one…cool lead-chuckin’ bucket! Not super easy to get, but they’re out there from a couple companies. The camo would drive me nuts at this stage of reentry, though. |

Can't find any info at all on the kit since it is so new but bet it comes with decals for the camo. |

Some very cool (and detailed) entries so far...
Think ive picked a perfect one for me, probably the most basic panther kit going... so that suits me fine !
Really didnt want anything too complicated, so hopefully i can achieve something half decent !

Yep, you got it. I actually found a picture of the 2 I built together. Will serve as proof I didn't use either for this GB. LOL  All I remember is it being a total b$%^ to make that Italeri kit somewhat reasonable.  |

Slowly, I'm gathering up the courage to take on an armor build. I've got a couple more builds in front of me and then I may pull the trigger on something like these. I'll say this, the work you fellas do to this stuff is truly inspiring. Looking forward to following along. |

That's one heckuva reference book at 896 pages Dave!!! I sure wished I had $190 to spare, I'd pick one up myself!!!

I`m getting into researching these at the moment, thinking of trying a diorama too ! As i said I`ve never built a tank but figured the best place to start is a group build like this one. ( this way you can copy everybody else`s work and it looks like you know what your doing... ) Saying that i think i just made things difficult for myself ( for a change! ) as I`ve found a cheap detail set from Eduard for my Panther on Ebay !  |

It would have been fairly simple, but i have to make things difficult !
Eduard kit arrived, its quite daunting adding this much to the outside where its so visible !
