Everyone, show us your 4th of July cookouts! Mine will be lame, as I am too lazy to fire up the grill. I don't have one of those nice Weber or George Foreman grills, just a little potbellied stove that I squat in front of and dodge the smoke, which seems to always go where I am at. Everything will be cooked in the oven or microwave. I might have to airbrush char marks on the hamburger patties.

I would but unfortunately I will be saving the stupid people from themselves.

I’ve been in the ER and now in a patient room all weekend long with my wife tending to her sister who tripped on her own flip flop and fell….breaking her hip. The ER here has ambulances waiting in line to put folks in the ER. This ER has been on diversion since yesterday.

I hope everyone living in the US had a safe, enjoyable July 4th holiday. I was the cook, but as previously mentioned, was too lazy to use the outdoor BBQ grill. I do miss that great BBQ char. Plus I can't use my favorite Rodney Dangerfield line from Caddyshack - "Hey, my steak's still got marks where the jockey was hitting it!"

You may be holding a wall for a long time though.

Hopefully she doesn't give up because it hurts.

Man.....I'm getting hungry just looking at all this. That Taco Shop chicken looks pretty good keavdog . What's the ingredients in that one call for John? That one is super easy. 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts, 1 can Ro-Tel diced tomatoes & chilies, 1 can 7.75oz El Pato (stuff is awesome) hot tomato sauce, 1 diced onion, 1 diced bell pepper, 1 1/2 tablespoons of Mexican seasoning (I blend my own but there are premade mixes available). All of it goes in the slow cooker on high for 6 hours. Pull out the chicken, shred and return.

Even with dunkings in my pool to cool off and returning to the grill dripping wet, it wasn't very pleasant in that heat. Plus there was zero shade due to the position of the sun. My cut off is once it gets over 100*

103 is the perfect Texas temp for grilling kabobs on the ol’ Weber kettle! It’s the large pergola and ice cold beer that make it tolerable. 🍻
