Fantastic. How did you weather? Oils? Just awesome. Thank you kindly. The weathering was primarily AK weathering effects which are enamel. For the dusty effect, it was brushed on thinned out with white mineral spirits. Once dried, I reworked the dust effect with various brushes dampened with white mineral spirits. As to the streaking on the underside, I sprayed various AK weathering effects through my airbrush. They were heavily thinned with white mineral spirits and sprayed at fairly low pressures. Around 10-12 psi. I masked panel lines on the underside, to represent fluids seeping out between panel joins. There was some brush work here and there. Cheers Dave

Now that I am looking at the pics over a cup of coffee in the light of a new day, I can see some details that need to be added. Details first, then final pics Cheers Dave

Funny how taking pics reveals so much. There's been more than once that I've cringed looking at pics of some of my models that I thought were okay.

Funny how taking pics reveals so much. There's been more than once that I've cringed looking at pics of some of my models that I thought were okay. That digital eyeball is an unflinching truth sayer. Last night I was thinking, "Self, now you can get started on the Felixstowe". Meanwhile, the lizard hind brain is saying, "Really?! You really think this is 'done'?" This morning I remembered something a fellow modeler had said. "Ninety five percent of the work is done in the last five percent of a project". They were right. It's close to done, but not quite. Cheers Dave

I've built one Stuka up in my latest "go round" of modeling which was a B variant but now......after seeing this......I want to have a go at a G variant. You've really showed us how it's done with this one Dave. Beautiful model in every aspect with the attention to even the minutest of detail as well as the weathering. Looking forward to those finishing shots buddy.

When I saw your thread that you have started a new build, it made me wonder what happened to your Stuka baby! Glad you got it done and I really think it came out GREAT! You have to remember it can be a challenge to build a larger scale like this and you did a beautiful job. Really!

You have to remember it can be a challenge to build a larger scale like this and you did a beautiful job. Really! I'll get some proper finished pics up. When I posted some old pics of the the Bristol F.2b build, it made me realized I need to set up an area for pictures. Proper pictures with better lighting. Cheers Dave
