What?!! I just regained consciousness from laughing so hard at your predictable behavior only to find out that it was for naught. And there's Joe!! Right on que!! This is already proving to be a difficult build even before I start and I need a dang break after the last 9 months building that Vette.

Joe, here is a link to a very comprehensive build review of this kit. I have the same kit and found this when I was researching it.

As per your request, here she is. Squiggly camo, not for the faint hearted to apply.

Man that is excellent work Brandon. You're really giving me the "hee bee gee bee's " about building mine now if I've gotta keep up with something like that.

I love 190's and 152's and I love that scheme. I just don't love painting it. Squiggle camo is very hard for me to paint. It hurts my hands. You'll do fine. Just do it.

Yeah... there's something about complaining before you've even started... LOL! I hear ya Dave. I will say this, I've had kits that I had to make alterations to in order to make them into a different option but have yet...until now...had to make alterations to a kit to make them what they are supposed to be. That right there is a new one on me. I'll get around it and all and build this puppy up and have a great time doing it but I certainly wasn't ready for that. For me it's like thinking I've got a glass of sweet tea and finding out after tasting that it's unsweetened. I can drink it either way but I guess I just had to be ready for it. lol Onward we go........

So I am curious Joe. Are you dead set on building the C-0? Why not just build the H-1 kit as it has the correct engine as well as the ability to cut the panel and display the engine.

That's a great suggestion Joe and honestly one that I've given more than a fleeting thought to. Since both kits are basically the same, I could start building on this one anyways and make up my mind which way I want to go once the H-1 kit arrives.

I have some good stuff stored somewhere in my tablet for a future project of mine on the type.

Alright gang, while I have the Corvette front bumper now soaking in brake fluid to strip the Alclad away from the bumper for a "round 2" in re-chroming and trying to repair the hood (which may require a stripping down to plastic and starting over) I decided to break the first few bits of this kit out and start doing something with it. I've got the base interior cut out and removed injector pin marks from the flooring. I'll more than likely go with an aluminum plate silver for the floor and seat as a base and then put a super light coat of RLM 66 over that. I'll weather the flooring and seat back some to account for a little bit of wear and tear in the cockpit and then start getting those Quinta decals put on the IP and side consoles. I've got enough Fw190 PE to last me a life time so I'll be using some of that here and there on the build as well.

Awesome! Excited to see your favorite warbird on your bench now. Yeah it's been a minute since it's had an aircraft on it. I did build that 262 a couple of years ago and that was fun.

Alright gang. Primed the flooring with Model Master Aluminum Plate and then shot a coat of Model Master Acrylic RLM 66 over that. After that step I airbrushed a coat of MIG dark wash over the whole thing and then scuffed the areas on the flooring where the rudder pedals are to replicate the worn areas on the floor. After coating the consoles and IP backing with RLM 66, I busted out with the Quinta 3-D decals. I really like these things!!!

Nice. I guess I should give these Quinta decals a try…but, just more money on something never to be seen. They do make things look awfully nice, though.

Nice. I guess I should give these Quinta decals a try…but, just more money on something never to be seen. They do make things look awfully nice, though. They are really worth the $$ Lyle! Takes alot of the work out of this area and is better than using an Aires set on one of these birds. Off to a good start, can't go wrong with the Quinta stuff Thanks Tony and you're right. These Quinta decals are "all that". Will be watching this one for sure will all the extra work you are planning on doing on her... Thanks Chris. I just hope everything comes together as well as the D-9 I built 10 years ago. lol Thanks John! Wonderful work in the office there Joe!! 'Preciate it Kyle! Oh yeah that's looking proper for sure! Great to see you chipping away on this! Slowly but surely I'm making my way through this one Brent. Had to test fit alot along the way but this one looks promising. Good looking cockpit. I'm still in shock you're actually doing a wingy thing Thanks Johnny! I think I'm still in shock as well as I'm having to remember a good number of techniques. I found that out when I applied the wash to the cockpit flooring the first time around. Ya can't do that without a gloss finish. I'm always findin' stuff out.....the hard way.
