Been waiting for one of these for a while. Rather it be a D but I'll take it. And it was cheap ( which usually means re-release coming... )

Joe - this thread convinced me to give them a try forums.kitmaker.net/t/sprue-cutter-showdown/16243Brassman (better name lol), nice haul. Just finished the p-51b - nice kit. Did the p-47 bubble top a bit ago - brilliant kit. I have the razor back and the p-38 (j) in the stash - all beautiful kits. Curious how the fiat build goes. Reckon I might give those nippers a go myself John. And I can buy them with a clear conscience as they are a tool and not a kit!

A big package from Hannants landed in my office at lunch today! Some odd looking kits: And a bunch of aftermarket to get a number of stalled projects moving again: The Shilka is actually for a friend - I was shocked at how fiendishly expensive a little 1/72 armor kit can be. I hope it's the bee's knees and goes together well.
Just a heads up on those KA Models engine nozzles, check the fit. I got some at Nationals for one of my Super Hornets and one of them was oversized so I couldn't use it.

Tamiya glue holder and nippers I've heard great things about Keavdog, Those Pro-Zetsu nippers are pretty good! While not as sharp as the God Hand nippers, they are excellent at trimming parts off the sprue in tight spaces. Brand "X": Pro-Zetsu:

They will be used to replace the nozzle parts in this kit:The box art is misleading - I think the builder used some old Verlinden(?) PE nozzle sets for his build.

It may be January, but I was able to finally spend some of my Christmas money! First off, I purchased online these armor kits: At my local IPMS meeting, a couple guys were selling models, so I scored these: I also got an old Testor's set of US and NATO aircraft armament, but it would not upload to the Gallery. My last Christmas present was given to me by a friend who frequents Hobby Day. It is a unique wooden kit that actually works: Of course, the "ammunition" is rubber bands, but this is so cool! Some of these have been started and can be seen in my first 2024 tour of Maddog Manufacturing now open. Thank you for looking in, comments are welcome!

My first lapse in willpower of the year has occurred. Not entirely my fault...First I received this as a gift, from a friend who had accidentally bought two of them. He was kind enough to send me his extra purchase as well as a few books which I look forward to reading. Secondly, I won a giveaway. Hooray for me! And it was a kit I didn't have yet. tcoat is doing a wonderful build of this kit right now. Go check that out if you haven't Finally, my work gives out an award each year for "job of the year". Usually this involves a trophy. This year they decided to skip the trophies and go to a bonus. One of my jobs won, so I got a bit of extra cash from the company and immediately spent it on 3 (actually 4) more kits. I am weak.

The Magic Factory Corsair is an incredible addition. I am quite excited to get around to building mine. They did a stellar job on that molding. Then there is the Ford GT. Great kit. I have that in my stash along with the Indycals Wynn's scheme. This has always been one of my top kits to try as my first car model. The MiniArt truck is sweet. You are to be forgiven for the temporary loss of backbone when you score hits like this. Well done compadre.

I’m looking forward to making the attempt on those. The Ford GT has some sweet liveries. I love the Wynn car and the motorcraft. I’ll likely be going aftermarket on the livery for sure. And the miniart truck is just a cool truck. And came with some Indiana plates. Couldn’t pass it up even in smaller scale. My first lapse in willpower of the year has occurred. Ive always had my eye on the F4U as a possible build in the future. I think I saw it on tv or in a movie as a kid jsut cant remember what the show was. Also, that flat bed truck is AWESOME. Cant wait to see it!
