OK chaps...so these also arrived this week courtesy of a national chain of generalist hobby stores and two special offers...... - buy two, get one free (the cheapest) on a wide range of kits - and 20% off if you spend more than £40 End result was that these three cost less than £34 - TOTAL! As you can tell, I was therefore forced to buy them....I really was! The Revell o-2A is actually a Rebox of the ICM kit and yet is generally about 15-20% cheaper here in the UK. And as for the 110....one of my all time favourites, so no excuse needed, even though I already have seven! ATB Andrew

Today was a big one! Now I really, most likely, probably shouldn't buy any more kits for the rest of the year because I brought this home today. Back in 2012 I sold my last 4x4 to help pay for our wedding. Plan was to then buy a new one after we were settled. However, like most.. the wife got a new car. Then we changed jobs, then we had a kid, then we got this big ass house... Dad just always kept having to wait. Well, I got tired of waiting. I have only been camping and out in the mountains twice in the last 12 years and Its starting to show. I'm close to loosing it haha. Now we can really get away again. 2012 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport 102,900 miles Single owner (brother in-law) Lets goooooo!

Nice score Andrew! I like the 110s as well. There is something about them isn't there.....I have a C/D, and a number of E variants, an F and of course a G-4! I can trace my 'admiration' of them right back to a book I was given on WW2 when I was 7 or 8. It was big hardback that covered some of the key periods and there was a large colour picture (in the days before colourisation of B&W photos was a thing) of a small formation in flight over some coastline (either Britain or France) around the time of the fall of France or Battle of Britain and they just looked so menacing. Went to the airshow here in Houston Saturday. Other than the Viper Demo Team and The Blue Angels, it was pretty lame. ZERO modern fighters. The most modern ones were a C-5, Apache, Blackhawk and the USCG Dauphin. I did get a T-shirt, stickers and a patch.

I wasn’t happy with the way the screens fit the rear fender intakes on the Nunu 911 RSR so I used that as an excuse to order a few things from HobbyEasy. Fat Frog has 3D printed intake parts with screens, plus I wanted to replace the kit wheels/tires on an upcoming Nunu BMW M6 GT3 project. I would’ve ordered some replacements for the 911’s wheels, but I’ve already modified and finished the kit parts. Ben

The fact it is so basic and mostly imaginary is more than made up for in he coolness factor that it is a kit of a one off experimental airframe that Hawk just decided to call a "Dart" and probably the only kit ever done of that!

Yah,
The B-58 says it's scaled from official Convair plans.
We shall see.

Nice work! Love it!
I opened the B-58 box. The kit actually looks not bad. I have no idea about the fit.
It's obviously modeled after an early version. The weapons pod/fuel tank has fins on it.

Yah, The B-58 says it's scaled from official Convair plans. We shall see. Not sure how "Official" those plans would have been since the kit came out in '57 but the aircraft did not see production until '60. Pretty sure that the Soviets would have loved to see some official plans in '56 when Revell would have had to get them. The '50s were a great age of releasing models well before the real thing existed which makes some of their takes on things sort of interesting. Also sort of questions security when some of them were so incredibly close!

The contract for the B-58 was issued in early 1952 with the public rollout in August 1956 and 1st flight in late 1956 so the 1957 release date would be ambitious. My kit has a copy write date of 1961, but that is just the release I have.
While the contract was issued in 1952, everything about the aircraft was secret until the rollout.
If memory serves me, Aviation Week had some leaked information about the aircraft much earlier than the rollout.

They are old kits and probably not very good, but.....Some of my first kits were Hawk. I probably have some sentimental memories clouding reality but they didn't seem that bad and some had interesting features like chrome plating for a paint free natural metal finish. I probably wouldn't have made it out of there empty handed either.

Also sort of questions security when some of them were so incredibly close! I'm glad some of the model companies take a chance on cutting edge subjects. I've rounded up a few, F-111B (the proposed Naval version), the runner up Boeing XF-32, pre-production XF-35B, I believe all Revell. I've got others but they are limited run, mostly resin or short run plastic, but I see them differently since they are specifically modeling interesting also rans and usually have something solid to go on rather than guessing at what is to come.
