Apologies all around for my lengthy absence...my job is exponentially more difficult from May - September than the rest of the year (seasonal business). I haven't had a day off since before Memorial Day. I'm past the peak, now, but am due to lose my summer employees over the next two weeks. Not quite out of the woods yet. I've been sticking a few parts on things here and there, but haven't finished a model since the Seehund. I'm REALLY hoping to change that soon. Going to try to focus on some bench time this weekend if I can. Shoot, I've got some group builds to work on! I feel woefully behind on everything that's happened on the forum. I don't think there's any way I'll ever catch up, but I'll try to stay current, at least. So much outstanding work. Good to see you Marc! I was just chatting with Joe not long ago about you and he said your summers are crazy busy. It sounds like this one was no exception. Don't stress about here you have your hands full. Indeed...they're all like this. It's almost time for me to sell the business so I can get my life back! No bench time means I'm also not getting time with my boy...he isn't going to be ten forever.

Hopefully you can get some time soon at the bench and just some time to RELAX. Sounds like a stressful deal. Take care Stressful indeed. Every year I get sick when things finally get completely overwhelming - that happened two days ago. Just trying to survive this week at this point.

Take care of yourself! I worked at a small seasonal business for 5 seasons. 7 days a week from May to September. Of course, I was 18 and the business wasn’t mine, so I loved the money and the stress was mostly on somebody else. By the end he was trying to give me a lot more responsibility and 22/23 year old me wasn’t up to it. I had to bail for my own sanity. So get to feeling better and I hope the season winds down and you can get a break.

Marc, sounds like some of the landscaping businesses down here. They seem to go 7 days a week. But down here there is no off season. Grass gets cut 12 months a year. I'm not sure how they do it. In one of the larger communities I deliver mail to the landscapers are there every day I am.

Hahaha Same thing I’m still doing!! Painting parking lots and roadway. Only I ended up at a much bigger company. More pay, more benefits, more time off, except for the out of state stuff we do here. My old boss was trying to grow into a full scale 1 stop shop for property maintenance. So we ended up landscaping, doing crack fill and seal coating, painting the lots and doing snow removal in winter. Let me tell you, when I was a kid I never dreamed I’d be a parking lot striper. 🤦🏻♂️🤣

OMG...I finished something!! Five months since the Seehund went into the display case. That's terrible. Work was an absolute sh#tshow all summer. I picked away at things, but hardly painted at all, and this is the first completion since May 25. I'm hoping that this might have been my last summer - I've got my company up for sale. It's time for me to quit and sequester myself to my basement permanently. Fingers crossed! Hasegawa HS-129, out of box, Romanian markings. No option to open the canopy - can't see much in there. About as trouble free as kits get.

Very nice! Great markings. Glad to hear it goes together well as I have the 129B-2 in the stash. Thanks! I'm a big fan of the small airforce birds...my club even sponsors that award at one of the semi-local contests. The only potential pitfall is the prop blades - they're all individual, and handed, and don't have Tamiya-style positive fit. Make sure they're lined up right!

Wonderful looking Henschel! Great to have you back up and running again Marc! Thanks!! I am indeed back (finally). I have a lengthy list of partial builds that should be getting cranked out in the very near future.

Good luck with selling your company mate. You have some superb builds here, but as for unfinished builds, I reckon I might have the edge on you there!

I just started year number 35, and "burned out" doesn't even begin to describe it. I hope I can find the right person to take over...my basement is calling in a big way!

Good luck with selling your company mate. You have some superb builds here, but as for unfinished builds, I reckon I might have the edge on you there! Thanks on both counts! I don't know...at last count I had 120 WIP builds (I'm sure it's more now). If I didn't have such grand ideas for all of them, I'd sweep a whole bunch of them into the trash and start fresh, so I can get back to finishing instead of just "plugging away".

Nice! I didn't know they had opposite rotation props. Neither did I, until I went to install the prop blades! Learn something new every day.

I missed you completing the Hs 129. Looks really good with the Romanian markings. I did a B-1 with the 7.92mm gun pack. Thought it was a great kit.

Good gravy Marc this look fantastic! Unreal work at this scale! The paint work and decaling make this appear a much larger scale than this.
