Just a quick note to say that I got the ball rolling today on the new workshop and someone's coming round to give us a price on getting half the garden concreted. By doing half of it I can keep my old shed for storage while the new shed is built. Then I can transfer all the stuff into the new one while the other half of the garden is concreted. It's not going to be a concrete jungle though, that's just the foundations to what I have planned.
I've got a couple of local dudes that don't charge too much for the hard labour they put in but I wanted to plan the design so that I could give them something to work with. I did find a planner this morning. Sorry Andy I shoulda made it clearer, it was an online planner software that I needed more so than an actual garden planner, although I could do with one of those too as I'm not a gardener by any stretch of the imagination
Here's what's going on so far, obviously I need to add gradient steps and plants etc but its the general layout done. The workshop will overlook the pool so I can keep an eye on the kids while I'm at the bench. By going with the pool option it means that I can get my workshop sooner because everyone wants the garden done now
That's the plan Andy, I hate mowing the lawns. The shed will have a double door at the end that faces the house so that I can leave those and the house french doors open in the summer and Chrissy will feel more like I'm in the house still, so she won't mind me being at the bench I was more disconnected from the house in my last shed.
Cheers guys, glad you like it. In the summer its going to be so useful to have the pool there. We are going to start this as soon as we have ordered the car, it will take a year to get done but the shed comes first so that will be done within the next two to three months, just in time because the loft is not going to be useable in the hot summer months.
Andy lol, I'll have to ban ladies from the pool while modelling is ongoing Yeah for sure I'll post pics of the progress. I'll be building the sheds/workshop myself but I need the concrete foundation down first as I'll use that to actually build the shed panels on.

Great looking man cave!!! You have room for one more modeler? Same here as I am running out of shelves space for more AK and Vallejo bottles that I need to find a way to expand without driving my wife nuts.
Hey Ski, love the modeling digs bro. I like havin everything at arms reach or a short roll in the chair...just my style!
Ya Bro, I couldn't agree more. just so happens when we bought the house the basement was unfinished, YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I set the boys rooms, weight room and model bunker, daylight basement of course. I have a suction fan for when the fumes are too much and all the good ol war flix are within reach too. The photo bench is in the foreground, computer one room over and we are in business. I spend 10-12 hrs in there at times, in the winter of course. And when winter leave comes, the BOSS knows not to bother unless someone is bleeding or the house is on fire, lol.
Mac, that's one cool line up of soldiers, Way ta Go buddy! Love it!!!
Spud, it looks like your wife would never get into your bunker, it's too clean, HA! I wish I had the room to organize my paint. I'm usually pretty analytical when it comes to detail, but I recon you got me there Bro. And I don't have 1/4 the paints you have, got some catchin up to do.
Steve, fantastic little setup there mate, I love the cosy tight little rooms, always so interesting to look at.
Mac, wow, that's some serious soldiering there mate, lovely setup.
I figured I should add my new setup here too. These shelves and desks will be moved to the workshop once its built and are now temporarily in the bedroom where I now do my modelling. Much better than in the loft.

Gee Wiz Boo, looks more like a surgical operations room than a model bunker, HA! You guys are way too organized for me. I was just thinkin how I could set up little shelves for my paints, ya know, follow the croud................ After serious consideration I decided it ain't gonna happen, no room, bummer. Oh well, I'll dig where I last saw em and hopefully find em before too long. Love the set up Boo!
RuckOver Baby! Everyone knows Football is for whimps!
Thanks Kenny, believe me, there's not as much room as it appears there. Right behind my chair there's a bed and I don't have the room to swing the chair around, its very tight and quite frustrating but a darn sight better than the loft space I was in and it will suffice until I've got the workshop done.
