Spud- Thanks! I am afraid I am too spoiled... will not dare to touch a styrene barrel for rest of my life. LOL Bill- Always good hearing from you my friend! Hopefully I can have it painted because my two weeks long trip starts this Sunday. But its vacation... wish I can bring the whole work bench with me!

I agree, Spud, especially those with rifled bore. If they are in one piece maybe short ones I will re-consider very carefully. LOL But somebody has to keep up with your spending. I do like to buy aftermarkets on all of my builds... ;D

Tony- Thanks man!!!!!!
spud- I am seriously thinking about taking a break from PE for my next build. LOL
Gary- Thanks my friend! This time it will be in Panzer Grey. I want it to look like one I found in my reference book. I am not sure if I am allowed to post the picture here. Planning to use AK Interactive color modulation set for the first time... wish me luck!
Dupes- Thanks buddy! Sorry for being slow. I am still interested in your Marder III if it hasn't been sold. It isn't III H, right? Because I already have a set.

Just a little update... not much bench time last night. Worked on the rear storage bin... added clasps and hinges. For sure the turret is finally complete! I need to adjust the hinges a bit after looking at the picture. Will return to the hull area where I will add few more PEs then it is finally done. I need your help this time... I snaped the star shaped antenna in three pieces last night. Why did they bother to make them in styrene!!! Now I need to buy brass PE set... where can I find those in USA? Help! Thanks!

Andy,
Can't help you with a souce in the USA but if the "star" part of the antenna remained intact you can use an RB models standard 2m brass antenna for the mast and be just fine.

Actually its the star part that broke into three pieces. LOL! I have plenty of RB and LionMarc brass antennas. But star antenna sets seem to be harder to find here in USA so it looks like I will have to place an order directly from Poland or China via eBay...
Thank you Bill for looking into this!

spud- Thanks! I contacted RB directly in Poland and unfortunately they were out of star antenna too but they will have more available in late summer. So I went ahead and ordered few sets via evilBay from a vendor in Poland. Rob- Thanks boss! I am so ready to take a break from PE... LOL Wouter- Thanks for the info! I found a good deal from a vendor via eBay. 3 antenna set.. one star antenna and two 2m antennas for $8 so ordered two. They are from armor scale so they should be good too. Too bad RB ran out... its their loss! Gary- LOL! Thanks man! Today is my birthday so I doubt I will have bench time... we are going out for dinner then watch a movie... that new Aliens movie. Yes, it is open captioned or I would not go!

Spud- Great to know about this... I have used one of their aluminum barrel and it was GREAT! Chris- Thanks man! I saw those star antennas from Tasca on eBay... plenty of them! I am sure they are very good but little pricey as they wanted $18 for each. I would have ordered if I couldn't find anything else...

Kenny- I am godsmacked that you are here too. Hope I said it correctly. LOL Thanks for stopping by! Bill- Thanks! Let's hope the order arrives before I return from a week long vacation. Guys- Just a little update... not much work bench this week since we are expecting a visitor from Denmark and he will stay with us for nearly a month. Kit parts were really terrible for hooks and clasps so I replaced them with PE from Aber... I think the build is 100% complete so it is ready to be primed next. Thanks for looking...

Dicky & Wouter- Thanks man! I can't wait either but am afraid I will not be able to do much for next two weeks. Wish I can bring the work bench along on vacations... maybe tie it up to the rear bumper of my van? ;D Going to Canada for a week... their beer is pretty good too!!! John- Thanks buddy! Loving the weather? Not! At least we finally got some rain yesterday after weeks of no rain. I will be in Louisville next month and I can't wait to raid that hobby shop you told me about. I forgot the name already...

You guys got rain? We haven't had any for over a week and then it wasn't much. Scale Reproductions is the name of the shop in Louisville.

Nice job on the etch replacements...the kit parts are just blobs so I'm sure these are light years better! Will just have to wait a bit for your next round by the sound of it but it will be worth it.

John- No kidding!?!?! A storm passed thru yesterday... must have been north of you. Crazy!?!? Thanks for the name of shop. Planning to bring home a lot of Vallejo and Interactive AK bottles this time... hope they are all stocked up! Bill- Blobs? You hit the nail on head. Nasty! Those old kits just need a lot of love! My next build will be finally a recent released Dragon kit Tiger I 6600 so I hope to do less PE work. ;D Gary- Thanks to those PE gods like Uncle Tony and others I have followed for at least two years at other forums. Using mask tapes really helps hold the tiny pieces down or they would be flying across the room!!! I'd be more than happy to post few pictures how I deal with PE clasps if you wish? Tony- LMAO! Thank you my mentor! I am afraid you are tired of me saying thanks for all of your great WIPs. It really helped me... nothing beats learning all of tricks from a red neck. ;D

Hey Andy, Looking GREAT my good friend! Excellent PE work, Friuls look great, clean and tidy assembly! I wish I could find some of those pins in 0.5mm diameter - I must get some for the next time I build Friuls. I suppose it will be for the Big Cats GB now. Oh, if I had £1 for every time I'd snapped one of those awful PE star antennae I'd probably have about, er, £10? Bloody things! I did have a star PE one but can't find it for the life of me. I'd happily have sent you that. What about a scratchbuild? Difficult sure but imagine if you pulled that off! Great work buddy! Ben
