John- Glad you liked the improvements... thanks buddy! I am very happy now and I am not going to touch anything else except to add the name tags. Speaking of name tags, you mentioned you know how to make good ones? Was thinking about making my own but not sure if it will look that nice. LOL Always liked the look of metal tags...
Dicky- HAHAHA! Ain't revenge sweet? You sent too much snow to NE so I am just sending some back. LOL I will probably look at it often during heat waves in the summer to stay cool. Thanks my friend!!!

Nice improvements there, Andy. Now that you've got the tank tearing up the ground, some snow and dirt bits definitely need to added to the tracks.
Sorry, can't help you on the name plate.

The additional snow made a world a diff Andy. looks much better bro. Guess I am going to have to get me some products to make snow...dman. Soooo, what's next on the bench seeing how this one is early finished?
oh yeah, same here with name tags. Besides, I'm the opposite of T, I can never come up with names or titles for my models. When they are 99.9% finished....so am I.

Bob- I have been working on the tracks & wheels... just finished! They look pretty good now. Will post pictures as soon as the pigments are dry... thanks again for tagging along! Carl- I wish!!! One day I will be when I am old and ugly like Rob, Todd and others. LOL Appreciate you saying this... Bill- Glad you liked the improved version... again once thank you for that great feedback! It made me look at the base harder and I had to add more snow. Boss- Thanks! Glad you are not going to kick me off the forum because I added more snow. I was worried you'd be sick of seeing more snow... Regarding the name tag, I think it will work out... a friend recently sent me a message that he may make me one at his work. My next build? I will finish that Little Bird rotory kit that I started two weeks ago... hopefully I can enter it at upcoming model show in late March. After that it will be Italian kit DUKW Amphibious truck... can't wait to try those green slime streaking products!!!

Great build Andy - its turned out superb matey! Definately your best yet - you'll have to build something really speacial next to better this! I've only had one nameplate made and that was for my Tiger I and that was a simple name of the tank, location and year. I suppose that's all you need unles you want to give it a name to the scene you've made? Ben

wow mate, defo like the fact you added more snow, looks great! Now that makes me wonder: wouldn't there a little bit of snow here and there on the tracks as well? Probably not as much and as extreme as on mine I guess Cheers

The extra snow added is a good improvement along with the gravel. I like the wingnut idea (Hmm? I wonder why )to take off the tank if need be. You mentioned making a name plate. I got this idea over at FSM. I made the sign on the PC with a black background and white letters. When printed on clear paper the letters are clear. After a good sealer coat apply like any other decal to some brass sheet. My printer sucks so this will look better with a decent printer.

Wouter- Oh boy, I was about to call it done last night but I think you are correct... tracks need some snow. Not too much... I will add them later today. Then I am really going to call it DONE! LOL Thanks buddy!
Marc- WOW! Thanks for excellent tip! That would be a good back up just in case. A friend is going to try something at his work today and see if he can come up with name plates... stay posted. Obviously it will not be done within few days... no hurry! It will be done before the show in March...
Thanks again!

Wouts - So Belgium isn't a part of France then? Je vais chercher mon manteau...... not since Napoleons days mon ami... . But Wellington and the Pruissians ended that after that we were even a part of the Netherlands, but that didn't last long as we revolted against them Cheers

What the hell?!?!? I thought small pack of Americans soldiers freed the Belgians from the French, German and Brits all combined during the Battle of Bulge?!?!? Guys- You guys really know how to make me chuckle... I really needed it because my day hasn't been too good so far. Home with a sick son, the ten years old car "finally" broke down... $437 repair bill, and very recently I accidentally dropped one of expensive light bulbs for photograph scattering it into million pieces. AARRRGGHHHH! Joe- Thanks man!!! I think I will build wingy kits for a long time after this! LOL Mr Sniper- Glad you liked it too... thanks! Hope the video clip worked? It helped me create one... never forget how dirt was flying behind the tracks. Dicky- Thanks Nemo! I am so glad you brought this up. Tell you the truth I was too keen about the idea of snowing. I have seen them before and I was never fan of them as it made them look too corny... the snow is not that thick and snow is melting... so it turns into mud as soon as contact is made. I will leave it alone for a day and two and see how it goes. Maybe I can just add few drops there and there... of course Dicky can join us too. Wouter- How far do you live from Bulge? I am asking because I'd love for you to be my personal guide when I visit one day... LOL Don't worry I will buy you as many beer as you wish in lieu of money... Steve- No kidding! That's why MSC has been my home since I joined. I am feeling way a lot better now... just for now until I pay the damn auto repair bill tomorrow. LOL More pictures to come... gonna make a quick run to the photo shop to pick up the light bulb so I can take more pictures using my best camera.

Ok , i got it now . France aint in Belgium and the Dutch didnt want to live there either...right ? Ok Andy , is there snow on the tracks or is it going to be mud mixed with some bush trimmings ? You need to add a garden rake , clippers and a snow shovel to the tank tools bro . Oh ya , nothin worst than corny snow .......yuck !Sticky mess ! Take care of your son and we'll see more when things get better !

LOL, well, erm yeah... Andy: got good news for you mate, the Ardennes region (a part in the Southern Frenchspeaking region of Belgium)is about 200km from my door. Now in Belgian terms that's far, but that's because we ain't a large country (though not many people know that we were the second largest economic power after the British Empire at the end of the 1800's - beginning 1900's) ok, now I cut the history lesson, more than enough . In short to say: yes, if you ever come over here I'm glad to be a guide (not only in the Ardennes btw), as for that matter that counts for any of you great gents cheers

It's been rumored that bad things happen in threes so by this rote you ought to be done with them for awhile...like the extra snow alot, a much more natural appearance

Boo- You are way too nice... really appreciate it. Thanks! Because of you guys it made me go much further this time and I look forward to learn much more from you ol' masters. LOL And I'd love to see your 1/6 tank one day... it has to be that huge? Carl- My son is much better that he has returned to school today. LOL I am very positive I am done with the base. I was going to take pictures with my best camera but realized my memory card for the camera was full. AHHH The wife... AARRGHHHH! Spent two good hours copying and moving all images so I am ready tonight to give it another shot. Wouter- Believe me one day you will find my wife and I knocking at your door. It has been on my bucket list, a trip all the way from Normandy Beach to Berlin. Well, you can ask me again in ten years after my boys are done with college. Kenny- Me and my thumbs? No wonder it took me four months to finish this b@stard. LOL No worries mate just come back in few days it will be done. Mark- So true... celebrities tend to die in group of threes too. Scary! No more bad luck for a while I hope!!! Glad you liked the extra snow too! Thanks buddy! Gary- I think its time to tell you the truth... I didn't do the base. I drove all the way to New England to kidnap Rob and Todd so they could build my first base. They are still locked up in my basement... should I let them go home? Too soon perhaps... LOL Thanks my friend! Rob- Hey my long lost friend!!! Maybe you can help me here... can you tell those guys about my history of slow builds? I think they don't know about me that well yet... LOL Thanks to you and others I have been following for a long time back at FSM and MM.

Hey Andy...first...Amazing ground work you have going on this!! Love the cross tracks!! One of these days I might actually try a snow dio myself!! OK...on to the meat and potatoes....If Gary is going to swing by can you have him bring some Diet Coke...also I need to use the bathroom....could you unlock the door to the basement for a few minutes?

Todd, absolutely you can use the bathroom... do you see that metal bowl laying on the floor? That's what for... LOL
Glad you liked the cross tracks. I thought it's be a nice touch since Tigers don't travel alone and smaller panzers were out earlier on recon missions or something like that. I used one of those ugly Pz III rubber tracks to create the tracks...
It was fun adding snow if you can use plenty of watered down white glue... it made the snow look more realistic. I'd be more than happy to do a SBS maybe in video if you can send me that Pt 109 when you are done, deal? Nah, I will do it for free... any time for you guys. Matter of fact I am already planning another diorama base with snow for the StuG so I will make sure to take more pictures or do a video if my wife can help me.

Thanks for the heads up on the bowl!! I had to use the old fish tank down here the first time!! LOL!!!
SBS's are always welcome. You know the layout and have the pics...these things are gold! As for shipping the 109? LOL...might be cheaper to drive it out to you....your coming to NY at some point aren't you? You will just have to leave someone behind to make room!!

Guys- I am going to call it done... added mud & dirt to the tracks & wheels. Now it looks complete... I have decided not to add snow to the tracks. Am afraid it will make it look corny if I screw it up. Too risky this time maybe in the future. Sorry guys hope you understand! Please keep in mind winter is about to "end" so snow is disappearing into the wind so it vaporizes as soon as tracks hit 'em. Just like when you drive on top of a thin layer of snow on the road... notice it vanish mysteriously. During my "second" trip to the camera shop because I dropped the special light bulb onto the concrete floor as soon as I got home, I bought the photo tent finally while my wife was with me... she said it is for my Valentine Day. Ain't she the best? I can tell how much it really helps but I am still struggling to make my friggin' $400 Canon camera to take better pictures... TAKEN WITH OL' FAITHFUL IPHONE: CLOSER SHOT WITH IPHONE: NOW WITH MY $400 CANON CAMERA... OUT OF FOCUS AS USUAL... LOOK AT THE FIGURES CANON WITH WHITE BACKGROUND... Can not get the damn camera working right again. I had it set for lowest ISO as possible at 80 or 100. And had it at 'marco' setting. Lighting was set for either neutral or something I couldn't remember. What am I missing?!?!? Frustrated photographer here...
