Thanks Well, Boots, this is a fast forum and I'm a slooooow builder. So almost all my threads tend to dwell in third/fourth page in a very short time

Nice progress Luigi There's a lot of detail to hide on the chassis ;D Are you going to let it show?

Gary and Wouts, thanks Shellback, when folded it's large and flat as a dish, so it can be easily stored. When open it's big enough for most projects.

Hi all. My Christmas gift has been having finally some bench time to work on the engine. The aim was to depict a heavy duty engine with a burnt and grimy look, as I find very unlikely that russians had time to clean the engines during the harsh winter of 43... I started with a black ink wash to tone down the metallic sheen and give an overall greasy look. I then added a couple of washes of AK Rust Streaks, followed by a couple of washes of Fuel Stains. I tried to concentrate on the upper parts and those who looked too bright. The final layer of washes was given using Streaking grime, to achieve the brownish look of the burnt engines. I then added several scratches with a soft pencil where it was more likely that the use would ruin the black paint. And here you are the result: As always comments and advice are very warmly welcome

Splendid result, got me convinced. I seem to favor the left side but perhaps that's because the superimposed bull's head is not covering part of the works in the picture.

Tnaks Carl and Guy I'm trying to get brighter pics, but I'm still struggling with the lights (I have to get brighter lamps, I think).

Nice work on the engine Luigi. The key to good lighting in your pics is diffused lighting, so if you get brighter lamps just be careful that they aren't too bright!
