Gary - Thanks for the comments and for stopping by
Kevin - The interior is pretty much what you see earlier in the build log. Ahhhh the brown bag MRE ...Franks and Beans... crackers with peanut butter and the freeze dried fruit. Then finished with coco powder in hot water..... YUMMMM. Thanks
Bill - Thanks. It is always fun to model something I actually used. Next will be the M114, 155mm howitzer in Viet Nam.

Mike, the result is spot on. I like the minimal base and all the appearance of the CUCV

Luigi - Thanks for stopping by and for the comments. I always put my models on a base but try to keep it minimal while adding to the build. Thanks again

Mike this is just awesome. The mud in the wheel wells looks just like I remember. I remember being pissed that I was not gonna be able to use the track wash rack and was gonna have to clean it with a garden hose. The darn thing looks so realistic it could be an evidence photo from the MP's where they cited you for not having a safety ball on your antennae tip! You could put an eye out brother! You are in for a stern talking to by the CO.

Leon - Thanks for the comment
SFC Mike - Thanks for stopping in...Yea...the ball that always disappeared in the field. LOL The wheel wells were always mud catchers, needed the wash rack with the portable fire hose. Glad you liked it and it brought back memories, that's the best part of modeling.

Hiya Mike. So it has taken so long to check in here. Can't seem to find the time to get out of the Axis forum. it looked good on its own but is real sweet on the base.

Marc - I understand... I have the same hard time getting to the axis forum. Thanks for making the trip and for the comments.
Joe - Great to see you. The interior seats door panels and dash are Tamiys NATO Brown then it is coated with semi-gloss clear which darkens the color, make a good match and gives it the vinyl look.
As for the wife story....LOL..they were great little trucks but definitely not a wife pleaser. The old times for me would be getting the neighborhood kids excited when old HQ-34 was in the driveway. It had a look that brought attention.
I was thinking of a similar build in 1/24. Then Miniman came out with the 1/35 resin version which worked for me. Thanks for stopping by. Good luck with your CUCV. Be well my friend.
