Guys- Again sorry for being slow... back pain has kept me away from the bench at the same time it was my wife's birthday over the weekend. You know the golden rule... keep the wife happy everybody will be happy. Leon- Thanks... glad you liked the wiring too. Carl- LOL! I told my wife many times... no more dogs... I don't think she will ever live without dogs. OK, then get dogs that don't shred hair everywhere. John- Hey buddy! Looks like I may need your help to have it done in time for the show. Less than two weeks... Dicky- I guess Deb can't comb your hair too? That would have been nice... Prof- Crazy about the kit parts... how in the world did they expect me to bend it in many directions without breaking it. Dragon at its BEST! Thanks for dropping by! Bill- Now you are scaring me from building a 251... German HT with ammo belt??? Boots- Thanks buddy! Was planning to use same base concept you created for your Nissan car but had a change of plan since I was using water putty and coffee stick seemed to do the trick. Always good hearing from you...

Great work Andy! Good to see it finally coming together! Bit of a bugger about the skid, but glad it was an easy fix. Base looks pretty sweet too. Should look pretty cool with a dusty black chopper sitting on sand and concrete. Nice contrast of colours!! Cheers, Sam

Sam- Thanks man!!! Can't wait to see how it comes out. Got everything from AK to make dust and streaks... Guys- Finally the little bird has been primed with Mr Surfacer then sprayed with Vallejo Black Grey mixed with just little Black. Allowing it to dry overnight. I will do some color modulation tomorrow if my wife doesn't make me attend Boys Scout meeting. Thinned black at bottom with lighter base at the top... that should be fun. More to come...

Thanks my man!!! Always appreciate you tagging along! I would have started with black but it will be more difficult to do post shading to make it look faded so I was told always start with lighter paint when I took my airbrushing lessons. I used to have poodle when I was a boy... loved it. One of our dogs is a Maltese and he doesn't shed. The another dog... Collie Border... God, way opposite as he loves to leave hair everywhere even inside my drawers.

Looking good with primer/paint on Andy! Don't be scared about doing a 251...it's only the one variant that they did that with.

Gary- LOL! Thanks Greg! Oops I meant Gary! LOL Dicky- Can't imagine you being quiet just for a second. Joe- No worries... still moving slowly but I still think I can finish it in time for the show. Glad you like it so far... thanks buddy! Guys- I discovered two ugly gaps and excessive glue after giving it a coat of black/gray paint... around the canopy. At first I thought they were not bad but after a base coat of paint... yikes! I better fix them or I will be sorry! Like I said earlier... plenty of fitting issues for this. So I applied putty and sanded last night. I might add another coat of putty or use Mr Surfacer 500 to make it blend. At least I have something to motivate me to finish it in time. My reward will be... A bottle of Duvel beer... that should make our friend Wouter happy.

OMG that's some very neat masking there bud, great build so far btw, bummer about the gaps but it's in good hands ey. sorry I haven't been around much! ^^ And you gonna love the Duvel!!!! Do you also have a Duvel glass? Tastes best in it! And don't do like Wing_nut and drink it like an ale . It's 8% alcohol and one should drink it cold, and slowly for enjoyment, preferably in the sun with some mates and some food ^^ Cheers

Gary- LOL! Duvel to thin the paint... I'd rather to have it thin my blood. At least that's what the doctor ordered... Dicky-Thanks mate... the world will stop turning the day you stop talking. So you better keep talking. LOL Leon- You got that right... I feel much better now as I recently sprayed another coat of Mr Surfacer... looks much better now I think. Wait until I spray coat of black paint... Luigi- Easy, just give Wouter a call... he will help you like he did to me. Bill- Thanks! Only one week left... reward sounds nicer after every minute passed. Wouter- No worries! At least you stopped by... can't wait to try it soon. I think I have glass similar to one in your photo... is that what you are talking about? 8.5% here in USA... I better read the label again just to make sure. LOL

Dicky- Like if we Americans really need additional .5%?!?!? For me, HELL YES!!! Bill- I know... but I think I will be OK. Worse scenario I will just take a day off from work to finish it if necessary. Guys- I am happy to report that I made a lot of good process today. Here's the update... Most important thing... nasty gap is GONE!!! Am so damn glad I had it fixed before I went too far... I sprayed thinned dark gray which was lighter than the base coat to make it looked faded. Then I sprayed very heavily thinned black gray (base coat) to make the colors blend... According to reference photos I have been relying on, the missile launcher pods were not black but dark grey. Painting stage is now complete and I will spray a coat of Future or two tonight before I go to bed so I can add decals tomorrow. But first I want to enjoy something with my wife... Thanks for looking!

Leon- I better keep you away from my wife then. LOL Carl- Thanks buddy! Waited for you to join... guess you got lost again? Luigi- Oh there's very easy solution that will allow you drink any beer. Just add few drops of Vallejo thinner to your beer and it will make gluten disappear. Testor thinner may be too little strong that would make color disappear too.
