Thats fabulous work on the bodywork mate............thats a ferkin` relief when you get a nice snug fit on these builds, nothing worse than a dodgey seam on a showing area I`ve also noticed how sometimes the rubber piping is stiffer than other types........then you end up snapping the locating pin orfe

Chaps, thank you for al the positives, it's been (so far) a real pleasure to build, complex, fiddly but great fun.
Boots, I hear ya on that one. I don't know if its just me but Tamiya appear to be using harder, more resilient styrene these days. I've done a few of their newer bikes and I haven't had any mishaps despite some fairly, err, firm handling!
No pic but an update of sorts. Tamiya brilliant white laid on and I'm just embarking on the masking. Here's my only gripe, you get a really nice sheet of masks with comprehensive placement guides which is good, what isn't good is the fact the masks aren't pre scored meaning you must cut the complex shapes out yourself. Ok, not the end of the world but when you consider the care and attention lavished on the rest of the kit, you would assume pre scored masks as a given?
Hey ho, onwards, might as well get used to it as I have their '09 Yamaha next which has the same setup!

Chaps.
Steve, well worth a purchase mate, keep an eye out for some AM decal sets, there's some good ones on the way.
Boots, pain in the bottom mate, fortunately they are very clearly printed with registration marks to aid placement.
Sorry not been around, family / work life very hectic at present, try to post again at the weekend.

Hello chaps. Well, I got there but the end result I'm far from happy with. I won't bore you but suffice to say a combination of crumbling decals, paint reacting to the clear coat and general decal application difficulties all contributed to the pic of the horror that follows. I think this one will be put in the 'revisit' category as I won't leave it like this. I will wait until the AM decal manufacturers swing into action and have another go, maybe with a different livery. More pics in the usual place, as always my humble thanks for following...

Guy, Luigi, many thanks guys. It's not come out as well as I hoped but I have learnt a few things new while doing this build so all is good I suppose.

Honda 3 colour paint is always a pain due to the high contrast but I think you've pulled it off here, Shame about the issues you've had but as Dicky says you can't see them here. On the bright side, it gives you an excuse to go back to it another day
