Really a great work. One Thing: the fire exstingusher outside was never red on german tanks.

Sorry to keep you in suspense! Ended up being a large category (for Downeastcon, anyway) - 17 or 18 entries - I didn't place at all. We were watching the judges, they spent 3 or 4 minutes having some sort of argument over my Panther pointing at various things. Not sure what it was that made them decide it wasn't award-worthy, but they had to have found something that bothered them (and no, they weren't pointing at the fire extinguisher!). Sadly, after looking at all of the 1/35 armor entries afterwards (including the winners), it appears that I should have at least placed. There were some pretty rough builds in there. Oh well, can't win 'em all...especially with IPMS-style judging! Guess this means I should crank out some more builds to make myself feel better. Hah!

No worries! Your build is a winner to my eyes. Same thing happened to our friend John (ogrejohn) recently... last year at IMPS his stunning T-34 build didn't win anything but this year he entered it again and it brought home first place gong! It all depends on the judges... maybe this year they were in mood for something green or Allied then next year they are in better mood for odd variant German armors.

Worst to first? I'm totally not surprised...IPMS judges are a fickle bunch!
My 1/72 Tu-22 Blinder has been to 4 shows in the last 6 months, competing against (essentially) the same group of models from guys all over the northeast. Results - 1st, 2nd, x, x. Consistency at it's best!

This sounds alsum but the pictures are gone. Noooooooo! Hmmm. Not sure what could have happened...I didn't move or delete them? The weirdest part (at least on my phone) is that ONE of the pics on the previous page shows up. I'll check out the links in my Photobucket tomorrow when I'm on my laptop.

This sounds alsum but the pictures are gone. Noooooooo! Ahhhhh, I figured it out. At some point in the last three years I organized the albums in my Photobucket account by adding the scale to the name of the folder - apparently that broke the links even though they didn't actually get moved anywhere different. I'll give you the last bunch here:
