Day #4 Gun assembly: I like the DML better so far, detail is crisper. Now for the bases and other stuff. Tony lee

Guns... I am with you about Dragon... just little more details and the whole barrel is aluminum. Please tell me you didn't kick your company out so you could return to your bench? LOL

Gun is looking good Tony. BTW, the one I am doing is #6166 I think. It's lacking some of what is in the 3in1 kit.

Andy the plastic band around the AFV barrel has a couple of details that DML doesn't because theirs is completely turned end to end. No it was my niece from Boston, too far to send her back home. Tony lee

Still Day #4 just pt2 AFV Club Gun: It's much easier to build than the DML offering but that's because it has all the later modifications. DML Gun: Even with it being a hair puller at times the finished piece was worth the effort. NOTE: Don't install parts D51 and 52(armor side shields) until you've install those side cylinders parts D2,3,48 and 53 BTW I had to place the solid hand wheel above the seat arm because being where it should go below the seat support arm the wheel interfered with the with gun deck. It's been a long day I mean to tell you, loved it. Tony lee

Absolutely stunning side-by-side show here! Always was interested to see the AFV Club one in close, so I am more than thankful to see your very good pictures of both builds here! Good build and comments, like it!

It'll be interesting to see how the clear sighting parts on the AFV version paint up . I like the looks of the DML better . Maybe its the gray styrene ? Looks like more Bondo was needed on the AFV . Great comparison Tony.

Just a little more Carl but that's pretty normal for breech blocks. Some spots are where the gates were and they pitted when nipped off. DML added a plate to cover the seam down there inside the carriage slide which was nice for a change. Day #5 Ammo lockers: Both provide enough shells for both lockers but AFV added four empty casings but they need to be drilled out. Gun Armor Shields: AFV They have you assemble the shield as a sub assembly and then install it as a unit. DML Does it the conventional way, piece by piece. I left the side cylinders off the AFV because they kept fall off. DML has detents and they stay put much better. Catherine and I hope all the Mothers Day gals had a good one. Tony lee

Great progress, Dragon's one looks a little better in some respects, but AFV looks a very nice kit too.

Howdy All Monday was a busy day with other things that needed done around here and the bench wasn't included. Yesterday I got busy with the casements and adding bits here and there. Here's a dry fit of the fighting compartment and it's not to shabby of a fit right out of the box. When you're HOT you're HOT, When you're NOT you're NOT Tony lee

Great progress, Tony. Is it the colour or the AFV gun stowing arms are a little thicker than Dragon's ones?

I don't thinks so Bull maybe the color and the Black over spray on the AFV just making it look that way. Tony lee
