Pea shooter is looking good Bones, as is that reworked seat. The gun is looking good and I appreciate your thinking so, after posting the seat and looking at it again I am thinking the full thickness Kleenex is to thick and the roughness it shows is out of scale, I mat stick with the half thickness.

Paints on the Quad and final pics in a day or two, we have a clam tide right now and I might have to go digging for some clams a couple of days but soon we will have the pics. The Pheasant also has paint but needs a little weathering before I finalize it.

Nice progress Bones! If the Kleenex is too thick for your tastes, you might try using gift-wrap tissue instead. Have fun with the clam dig!

I think I will work with the half sheet or maybe try tea bags as someone sugested but the half sheets work on the Quad seats it was that CA glue that gave me all the trouble, Clam digging is something my wife likes to do and I go along to run the boat, with my artificial knee I can no longer get down to get the clams but its still fun to be out on the water.

You get to do the best part, the driving and supervising...plus I'm sure you get to enjoy the 'catch' as well at some point I hope?

That is true Mary makes world class chowder along with fritters and clam fettuccine so there are lots of benefits plus when the crabbing is good we can do that too. This year the crabbing is on the slow side so we have to go on a day set aside for just that but that's the way things run.

Hi Mr Bones
My mate told me to try those spectacle wipes for replicating canvas. Use them first of course and let them dry out. Not tried it yet though

Tahnks for the comments, I'm not certain about what spectacle wipes are being discussed here, someone suggested the sheets that the wife's throw in the drier to end static cling and while the may work for some type of camo netting the ones my wife uses will not work for tarps. Are we talking about the lavender colored spectacle wipes that come in a folded package?

Hi Bones These are the ones...inside are small satchets with disposable alcohol soaked wipes. I'll try them and let you know how it goes Smudge

Excellent work on the Quad Bones and that gun carriage detail is gonna really pop under colour fella - seats look fantastic BTW! Smudge - I use the used spec wipes from work and they are great....very fine weave and minimal 'fuzz,' excellent for tarps too with a bit of PVA Hi Dickie Great idea. Here I am on POETS Day, alone in the office, so I did a recce in the stationary cupboard...and behold what did I find? A box of 50 cleaning wipes. Well theres only 25 in it now I'll try it on my IBG Bedford Smudge

I'll try them and let you know how it goes Smudge I will have to take a look at the local Chemist shop and see what they got along this line, let me know how you make out.. I have to wonder about drying out one of those handi wipes for hand cleaning, they do have a lot of creases that have to be overcome though.

The two would look good together and that's how I will show them in my display case. My wife some time back bought me a nice 4X8 glass display case and I have been trying to fill it ever since. I have a small house and limited display space so I have not done any dio's, in actuality it is the mechanics of the equipment that intrigues me so other than an occasional figure to show scale I for the most part do not go beyond the actual subject being built. I really enjoy looking at dio's and find the fascinating I just don't have the hart or desire to build them. I also have never done a base for one, I was going to cut some mirrors to put under them if I ever got the urge to go to shows. I have made a display that shows an M18 on three levels so you can see inside the various elements which I might post in my Bone Yard one of these days.

I did paint the interior which is partially shown on page 4 I think, I also weathered it but did not take any pictures for some reason, on the pictures of the exterior you can see some looking in the open doors.
