Oh man...this is HOT! The M60s always look wicked badass with the reactive armor attached. Great build!

Ahhhh, didn't realize that the two of you were both Dallas-ers...in the same club? Must be some pretty impressive IPMS chapters down that way.

Colour looks better now with the wash on. Are you going to tone down the heavy-dirty parts?

I think there's at least one, but I haven't been to any meetings or anything like that. I guess I would if I could make the time. I imagine this one will make an appearance next year. Heico, I may clean up a few ares, but I want high contrast after I add the dry pigments, so it's pretty much "what you see is what you get" Dupes, Andy, Dicky, many thanks. It's probably going to be back to normal, clear and cold, in a few days, but I'm so close now I can poke at it here and there and maybe finish up in a reasonable amount of time (this year?). The tracks are assembled and primed, so I really am pretty close.

IPMS/North Central Texas looks like the one for you guys: www.ipmsnct.netLooks like they meet on Sunday afternoons. They run a pretty big show - probably not a small club!

Thanks, Jack. Luigi, we had a lot of ice, power was on and off for a few days, and very cold temps. One of our neighbors from a couple of blocks away spent most of the weekend with us since her power was off for three solid days. My wife hopped in the Landcruiser on Saturday and took her mom and sister the the store, since neither of them were comfortable driving on ice..... Dupes, I make most of their shows/contests, but last time I checked they meet on Sundays, and that's always been husband/wife time. Maybe things will work out so that I can catch a meeting now and then but it's not likely in the near future. The good old interweb is my modeling socialization tool for the present and foreseeable future.

Great job on the restoration of this tank raeb, it now looks like it fought hard in the valley of tears.

Gentlemen, than you all. I have to admit, when I started this (re)build, I thought I would do a tank straight from an overhaul, conversion, re-fresh, whatever, but I just like 'em dirty. Then after I picked up the M113 Fitters' from Academy for a Campaign over on Armorama, the idea of the two of these displayed together, with the Magach just having had a "touch-up", came to mind, and that meant a dirty Magach.

Just got caught up on this one. I've thought of doing a revamp of an older build on the shelf but there it just too much n new stuff to buy and build. That's coming along nicely.

Leon, Marc, thanks. Marc, I do a lot of these re-builds, dunno if it's because I'm borderline OCD about older builds or if it's because when I was young, 'bout the time the Earth was cooling seems like, I had more bench time than money, so a LOT of my builds were re-done, more than once even. And I have to admit to using a lot of old builds for parts for newer projects, so much so that of all the WIPs I have, maybe one or two are from one kit only. I'm not right.......

Russ - yer definitely don't sound right fella..... but that explains why yer fit in round here so well - anyone 'normal' (whatever THAT means) will be escorted to the clubhouse exit by our resident skirt-wearing bouncer! I'm you're referring to Gary, I already met him. I dinnt make any comments about a skirt, or "kiltulu" or anything like that. He's BIG. Dogfish, thank you. I'm getting so close I can taste it, and I'm already getting the itch to start the next one or two.....

Argh! People in Yurrup are already getting and building Academy's -6Gal Batash and I'm crawling with jealousy. Argh! Anyway, pics of MEM with dust: I'm using (as usual) dry artist's chalks, ground into powder. The whole thing will get a little darker once I've got a little clear flat on it, but I'm still happy.

This one looks nice! I got comments on my Tiran that there was too little dept but that's the result of using 'dust' but lets face it, these vehicles got really dusty! I am still waiting for that Magach too... I've got it on pre-order at LM but it probably will take a while before i get it...

Gents, many thanks. I've just gotta cool my jets for a bit on the new Magach, plus stock up on the Friuls..... Heico, there's always somebody or something. That's modeling. I did a Tiran 5 a while ago, thought it was way too dark and "clean" but it snagged a first at a show, so you never know. I may have a pic..... I still think it's too dark, but I did it from Trump's old kit (a gift), and didn't expect anything anyway. Oddly enough, I like it now.
