Thanks, guys. I'm getting a little anxious to get some more bench time, get this one wrapped up! I'm thinking Meng's new IDF tanker fig set will be in there somewhere.....

Thanks, Gary. There's some scratch stuff, some parts from a couple of old Trumpy kits, and (sittin' down?) some Lindberg bits in there. I cheated on the hull dimension issues: rather than try and cut the hull to change it's height I lowered the swing arms and made the whole thing sit lower. It looks pretty close compared to a Tammy T55 hull I have started. My wife's grandmother, with a little help I suspect, bought it for me one year as a birthday gift, and I really try to build any kit given as a gift, which means stretching now and then, but I have to say, the first Tiger I built was a gift, and I've done two more since then.... In the meantime, if I don't get some bench time pretty soon, you're gonna see me on "Cops" with no shirt on.

Thanks, Leon. I had about 30 minutes this morning (no plumbers in the house) so I shot the clear flat and then re-applied dust in select areas. No pics yet, but progress is happening. The only differences may not even show up in pics, since the clear flat took the whole thing back to pretty close to what the original base coat was, with the exception of where I dusted heavily. The re-application brought it back to what it looked like before, but it now shows heavier accumulation in the nooks and crannies. Hmmm..... pics soon, I promise.

Considering all the scratch work and modifications you put into this, it's a shame hiding it under paint, but what a stunning job! The dust and wear is really appealing and invites to explore every aspect of the model. Congratulations, great work!
Cheers, Tobi

Tobi, thank you kindly. Well, pics: I have some clumping of the pigments in lesser-traveled areas, and a smoother coating on others. I'll be using a dry Q-tip to "polish" some of the very high-traffic parts and then I will be finished with the pigments. Still to come: fuel and oil stains in a few select areas and exhaust soot. Same thing above as the first pic.... A little clean back here, stay tuned..... And this area needs a little polishing, since the whole crew boards over the front. Interesting aside: the Desert Eagle book on the -6Gal has a couple of pics of a crew showing the drill for boarding, very structured. Fingers crossed: One day this weekend may be a "girls day out".......

Luigi, thanks. I got some bench time in yesterday, and got this one to the point where it's finished until I get the M113 ready to go with it. Then it'll do crew and possibly stowage, tow cables, etc. I have the antennae ready, just forgot to stick them on for this set of pics. They're removable, for transport. Anyway, the pics: Thanks for following, as always!

Gentlemen, thanks so much on this wonderful Christmas day! Heico, I mix up roadwheels on these builds on occasion, to show maintenance replacements. The M60 slick and A1s used a cast aluminum wheel that tended to fracture with use on the rocky Middle East terrain, so as they were changed, the Israelis went back to the steel wheels found on the M48 and M60A3s, a much more robust unit. The Magach6 Gal-Batash and Magach7 went to the steel wheel also, due both to known durability issues and increased vehicle weight. So.... I wanted to show a tank that has had a couple of wheels replaced in the recent past. This may or may not figure into the vignette this one will be in, not sure yet. Once it's closer to this, I'll get some "totally" finished pics up.

Thanks, Luigi. The M113 that will be the companion piece is moving along fairly well, shopping for decent tracks now. I'm probably going to go with the Meng IDF figures, and maybe some old Academy guys with better heads, but still shopping.

This one may be my favorite so far, I did a -6Gal last year, with a lot of scratch (no Legends parts at all) that I'm really fond of. What shows? If I'm in town, I'm there.....

Nice work Russ I like the personal tough with replaced wheels very cool. I think you've achieved a good worn look on your 6MEM.
