Thank you. By chance, there was a guy on the Expo that finished another Ju52 - very inspiring. Had a long chat with him and got tons of Luftwaffe 39-54 letter decals from his stash. Plus a set of additional ICM/Revell 1/48 figures from the expo lottery. Cost me 9 € all-inclusive. Did I say "the diorama is complete"

"To scratch or not to scratch... that was the question" Although the serial seats look nice, the belts have all the same position. On the other hand, thats okay. So I left it like that. Bit more time to do other things Revell instructions say "Rust 83", but I used some Games Workshop Rhinox Hide here - quite the same Color, but a bit brighter. Next step was to install the Elevators. Mr. Zombie says, ist tasty... Lol. And he Shows a size comparison. Sorry for the bad quality, the battery of the camera was almost empty - this was the best I could get.

Just recognized that the thread just achieved 2.000+ views. Tell you something - never thought of such a big interest here, to be honest. Let me THANK YOU for this, thats pretty motivating.

Heres a puzzle for you:
Im not too much into planes, but more into figures, as you know - so a plane project is a bit more difficult to realize for me. As you can see the plane itself gets its shape soon. Time to think about the color. Light blue on the bottom and two green tones for the rest. But what colors are correct and what does the market offer here?
Following conditions:
>Colors should be correct for August 1942/Eastern Front >Colors itself should be acrylic ones (best: ready for airbrush >> Vallejo ModelAir?!)
Thanks in advance!
Lucas.

If you're going fot the three tones classic splinter camo then it will be RLM70/71 on the upper surfaces, RLM65 for the undersurfaces.
RLM65 is 71.008 of the Vallejo Air range RLM70 is 71.021 RLM71 is 71.015

Redesigned the area in front of the gatewayabit for the coming figures. J.A. Green was applied with an airbrush, then followed some bird sand and clear cote (glue). Plus another mechanic from the ICM/Revell set. Just added a PE tool from the Eduard Luftwaffe Ground grew set here.

Hi...
Just received a mail from a Czech citizen who told me that I made a small mistake:
The airport in Prague is not called "Prague Ruzeny", but "Prague Ruzyne". Please excuse me for this mistake. Mea culpa.
And thank you for you mail - EVERY help is welcome!

It keeps looking better and better! I wouldn't have known about the correct spelling for that airport but it is great having somebody help you out!

The Czech should know best Comes even better. Some days ago I was driving home and a hitchhiker and his son stood near the Autobahn. We talked a bit during the way and it happened that he is able to speak perfect Czech language. He offered me some translation work, if that should be necessary.

Hrmz.... Due to a bank problem - no manual assignments possible from another town, were speaking of the largest German bank at all, btw!!! - the order of the figures was almost countermanded. Oh yeah, I really like that. Anyways, this was corrected and the company sent them to me. The shop owner told me that this was very often the case in the past, probably due to the changes of the European bank system (IBAN, BIC etc.) or whatever... Grml.
Should arrive today or tomorrow.

Finally some progress here! Although it loks quite simple, the Windows caused a bit of headache. When I masked the insides of them, and sprayed Tamiya Grey over it, a bit of the color leaked onto the windows. AAAAAAAH!!! Worst case! So I had to use very fine sand paper and non woven web to polish this out as good as it can get. A layer of clear cote followed. Not perfect, but better than frosted glass indeed. Some scratches for broken glass as well, and there you go: The passengers room: ...and finally: WINGS! Please note the size of the mechanic in comparison (red arrow). Cheers
