Gary, Andy, Pete... thanks fellas. Appreciate the comments. Gary, take a look at the bottom of page 6, there is a close up of the flags. The 1:1 guys took those flags on little wooden sticks and taped them to the antennas. I made decals from a flag I found on the web. I blurred then a touch for a feeling of movement. In fact... here's what I used. I put the strip down the middle to look like that cloth nit that slides onto the stick.

Nice update Marc. The details are really setting this apart, I'm with Dicky though, I'm having a hard time finding the TC.

Pete they are from Master Box out of the Ukraine. Set #35131. They got the box wrong. Iraq, not Afghanistan. Very nice molds. This guy even has teeth.

Nice update there Mike! The TC is yelling at you for making him temporarily invisible...that's why his teeth are showing. Looking forward to seeing him take his place on the 'ride'!

Marc
Have I mentioned yet during this build that I hate you? Jee-zus man! What's going to be next... maybe you should wire the guy's radio and pipe in some radio chatter for just a little more detail and realism!!!
Awesome.... simply awesome!

My pleasure brotha! You know those nights when you just can't get to sleep? Well last night it paid off. Saw a commercial for place that does Lasik and I was thinking of what it would be like to be able to buy sunglasses that didn't cost $600. Bi-focal, astigmatism and near sighted Anyway... I was looking at sunglasses online and I got tis idea. This is just a test on paper so when I touched up the white bits after trimming the marker bled a bit. The final iteration will be a decal on thin plastic so no bleed. Less fragile too. I added some color with an airbrush tool in Paint Shop so dark or reflective lenses. And because of the head gear, no temples to worry about.

Thanks for looking in and the kind words guys. Dicky... 17 years working with Brits... how did i miss that one? Gino (heavyarty) informed me that they were issued ballistic sunglasses in that were clear of smoke. They were not allowed and bright colors. So the lenses were grayed and trim to a more appropriate shape. Watched are made with a punch, plastic and lead foil. The dials are 1/72 aircraft decals. A buddy is sending me way cool resin mics that will finish these guy off Nickey. Spent shells and belts clips on the turret and I move on to the green guy for some lagoon.
