Chaps. Thanks for the encouragement, I will need a lot of it as I am really not enjoying this at all. I should have gone with my head and not my heart and built Tamiya's Ferrari FXX, maybe I will do that next and have them displayed side by side....if I finish this that is! Anyway, while I was at it, I decided to mock up (should that be muck up?) the drivetrain. I used a handful of engine parts to get an idea and against the run of form it all lined up rather well. Bar five tiny parts, everything you see in the following pic is dry fitted while I resolve fit issues etc.

Ok, here goes. Chassis complete. Front suspension has proper metal springs that need to be sandwiched between the upper and lower wishbones, hubs are held in place with teeny screws much favoured by Tamiya. You get a steering linkage which allows the front wheels to be positionable providing you are sparing with the glue. I added some much needed bolt detail here and there especially on the rear suspension. Slapped some filler on various points and checked everything for alignment, back end is far better than the front. Then covered all my sins in a coat of primer. Still not enjoying this much...

I hope so mate, if I manage to finish it, I will reward myself with a nice, easy Tamiya build.

Might be the only way to get through this mate, not fun at present.
Spent a couple of hours trying to get the interior to play nice with the body, getting there but it's a challenge.
On the up side, I tried dry fitting the front and rear screens, looks to be almost spot on.

Well we certainly hope so mate.
Already lined up the next one, the FXX will have to wait a little longer.

Nice job on the chassis, you're doing well my friend, it's looking real sweet. Ya gotta remember them Ferrari's is high strung critters and take a lot of TLC.

As always chaps, your encouragement goes a long way to making me continue with this. Had a proper go at the engine today and on the whole, not too bad, pic follows showing the block glued together but all the ancillaries are dry fit only. Only things missing are the starter motor and the intake trumpets, sadly the latter are really poorly moulded and covered in thick chrome and I don't think I can salvage them so the hunt is on for replacements... Thanks chaps.

Chaps. Well, we blunder on. ER, I tried stripping the chrome mate but this kit is made from some old moulds and I despite trying to salvage the parts I failed. Replacements have been located which is nice, just hope they arrive before I consign this to the bin. While I had a tiny bit of enthusiasm today, I slapped some colour on the interior and the basic engine block parts. Then, (drum roll), I slipped the much reworked body shell over the top. It's not a perfect fit but significantly better than I hoped it would be so that's something I guess! As always chaps, my continued thanks for your continued support.
