Nice! Good to see the dozer's back on the rotation if only for a little while before it spins around again later.

I'm really liking the weathering on the lower hull. Well, the rest of it too, but that part especially.

Thanks you guys!! I really appreciate the encouragement, it's helping me push along!!! I managed to sneak in a little time on this one tonight so I am a couple steps closer even if they are baby steps. I broke out some pigments and attacked the bogies Using a cut down stiff bristled brush and a cotton swab I just applied some Vallejo Dark Steel and followed this with some burnishing to bring out a little luster. I have a few more things to touch up and I can move forward to start some detail painting and then some decals...thanks for dropping in!!

Thanks Guys! Appreciate it! I am thinking I should make some decent progress with this one over the weekend. Once I get some decals placed I downshift into 2nd and with some real weathering!!

Hey Dicky!! Not a stupid question at all. I do apply this dry as it is similar to graphite and will stain the surface you are using it on. If you apply it either with a stiff brush, cotton swab or eye makeup applicator it will go on dark, the more you burnish it or polish it, the more it will shine. If you are at the end of the road in the build, you should be good to leave it and display...if you plan on more weathering, as I will be doing, a coat of clear would be a good thing. I have to add some future for the decs anyway, so I will treat most everything. I will add the weathering after the decs are set and will most likely touch up some of the Dark Steel here and there...just one of the many layers that I tend to put down that may seem redundant but I like to do as things do show after the fact! Sorry about the ramble!!

Thank Jeff!! LOL!! I usually don't think of the "paint weathering" as part of the weathering Weathering? Pigs Washes, muds and such...but I suppose they are all intermingled in the end!!

Thanks Dupes! I am sure there may be one or two vending Vallejo there...maybe even Ron from Red Frog. I have used a few of their pigments a few time and I am please with their results as well! Easy to work with! Thanks Boots!! Fanx muchly my friend!! I am certainly trying not to drop the ball here!! Unfortunately I have been standing on at least one unmentionable body part for most of the day at the keyboard trying to get ahead!! Tomorrow is another day for sure!!

I'll be there to "help set up" around 8:00-8:15. Heh. I've found plenty of vendors willing to make some cash before the show starts at 9:00...
