My "wants" list is getting pretty short these days...and I'm trying to trade or sell/buy for as much new stuff as I can.
Of course, when people are pawning stuff off for 80% less than retail, I have a very hard time passing things up!

DO you still have a running list of what need to go out the door to make room for the next round? 80%, yeah, can't pass that stuff up for sure!!

I do, actually. Looking for some stuff? I always tally up my purchases from every show just to see how well I did...my best was at Valleycon two years ago - came in at 16% of retail. As in 84% off. Yowza!

I have a thought or two still left in the old mellon......still thinking. Of course you know how that is...once I see something, then of course you get it!! LOL!!
84%? Really? Surprised they didn't cuff you at the show!!

LOL...Mostly just an intact fuselage...preferably 1/32 but could accommodate smaller if needed.

Plug plug plugging away!!! I was able to hit the bench for a bit last night and started messing with the tracks. I wanted to get some preweathering done on theses before they get mounted. Starting with the base painted tracks and some Vallejo Pigments I went to town. There are several steps I use to do this, I will show a couple here for the moment! I put things on and take things off!! Apply the pigs, let dry then remove some pigs!! Apply more pigs...yup, you get the picture!! Then there are the washes..... Just as an added layer, I like to lay down some steel pigment in the middle of the of all this and revisit applications after... You can see the difference between adding the steel effect vs the dirty weathered look. I still have to play around a bit more with the tracks, certainly I will spread out over a couple days I think. I did also manage to break out the decals and start applying them. I have some detail painting in the near future along with some chipping and a whole bunch more weathering to go!! Thanks for dropping by!!!

Thanks Andy! You're right there! Still a lot to go on this one still but it should be mostly the fun stuff in the form of weathering!

Great looking tracks Bub. I do have a question though, what is the liquid you are using with your pigments?

Deano - Thank you very much my friend! Dicky - Thank you sir! Pretty much all there is to it, over and over and over...should have just written that. Jeff - Thank buddy! Dicky was correct: nip o' 'shine!! NOT! H 2O. I use water as a medium as it dries fairly quickly and I can dust back the pigments rather easily. I have been know to use White Spirits (not of the Vodka variety....yet) or thinner, the results are the same. The water doesn't smell as bad and is cheaper!

Thank you Sir. Although it is good to know there are other options available. Just try them all until you find one that works

Thank you Brother Leon! The decals went on pretty good so far. Not too many more, just not rushing things. Taking a break from this tonight. I have a review to post and one to start writing, filling the downtime on the RG-31...she was feeling a little lonely!!

Very nice progress T! Got to love the look of those tracks as well as that really worn out underside/suspension.
