Since I ran out of time last night to give and update...it will have to be now! :-H The top of the undercarriage section went down with no issues at all. Next up was steps 3 & 4; The Ripper Again, this part is fairly straight forward. a little clean up and the parts fell together! The Ripper and its frame get installed with no glue to the undercarriage. Step 5 & 6 came and went quickly with the construction and installation of the hydraulics for the ripper. These are movable parts; both on the ends of the rods and the rods in the cylinders. I am onto step 7 which is the second part of the Ripper installation. I should have an easy go of this as well. Thanks for stopping by!!!

Yo T man, great review over on Armorama. There's really no need to say I'M IN. This looks pretty sweet so far. They need to seriously think about one in 1/72nd. I am sad to say though I saw one in the news last night, busting protesters barricades down. It is large to say the least.

Thanks BJ...it tiz!! almost a Snap-tite!! Thanks Jeff...glad to have you on board!! Impressive piece of hardware!! Not saying they should be used to break up a protest though...seems a bit like overkill...geez! BTW, there is a 1/72 version of the D9R , even has the slat armor...pretty slick ride!!

Mr. T
Looks real good almost like a Cat commercial of some kind. Have been seeing a lot of notes of concern about Meng kits and it appears, unless your are on the payroll in some mysterious way, that this particular kit is a cut above their other kits which is a nice change and a continued evolution in kits that is making this truly the golden age of scale AFV kits.

Bones, I agree with you. It was not my intent to start a political discussion at all. Only to show the vehicle in action. It was probably a bad choice. I have removed the post. Please feel free to do the same in your post if you would like . Jeff T.

Bill - Thanks!! Evil looking tool attached there isn't it? Bones - Thanks! I think this kit is an elevation on some of their other kits too. I do know that the HiLux kits look more like Auto kits and there is a different type of plastic used...could be the "quality" issue right there. There is some minor seam lines throughout the hydraulics...I chalk this up to...it's a model!!!! LOL! They are easy to remove and part of modelling I think. As longs as there is not an inordinate amount of EPM's and sinkies I am usually good!! Not easy to mass produce a kit without any seam lines...injection molded parts...par for the course. LOL...for the record...I don't work for Meng...but, if they wish to send me compensation or make a huge job offer...Who am I to refuse?!! Dan - Thank you...I appreciate it!! Paul - Thanks a bunch!! Ian - Thanks bro!!! Glad to have you along!! Pete - Nicely done kit sir!! As for you getting one...not going there!! Jeff - No worries on your post my friend!! Your point was the tractor and it was a nice spot!! Modelfreak tagged me in a FB pic from the same action trying to bait me into a dio... Very very...very tempting!!!

If any of you want to see this vehicle in action and some good Merkava action shots with it go to your library and check out "Death in Gaza" which shows the D9R being operated by Arab Bedouins who serve in the Israeli army to flatten Palestinian houses in protecting the border. It also gives a good view of how close peace is in Gaza.

Thanks Bones! Didn't get a chance to watch the video yet, but all info on the subject helps out a bunch! OK, time for a little update. Slow day at the bench, busy day in the yard...it has to be done sometimes! I was able to finish cleaning the Ripper parts and giving the the ole install~ Still a dry fit on the plates and the hydraulics. I want to ensure I will have an easy go of the painting session. The tow hooks needed a little clean up. I found an EPM on the inside bend of the hook a light seam line over the hitch pins. They will get attached to the main structure prior to painting. Onto the office!! The cabin parts were all cleaned.... All of these parts more or less fall together nicely! The seats are dry fit but ...fit like a glove! A little bit of a layout! I will be cleaning up the cabin walls and window frames tomorrow. Plotting what needs to be glued now and what can wait while the painting takes over....still plenty to do before that though!! As always...thanks for tuning in!!
