Hans and Franz look right at home Mark! Any progress is good progress so long as you keep moving forward.

I agree with you, Mark. If you have to chip it, do it very lightly. These saw very little action and, although paint quality dropped towards the end of war, I don't think it had the time to be worn out in large areas. Some bumps and scratches were likely to happen, as they weren't kept in the garage, but nothing more. All IMHO, obv The figures look great, can't wait to see it finished

OMG ! You really did use those suggestions didn't you . My hats off to you for taking advice and running with it Mark . Modifications really add to the finale look of realism . About the chipping , that's some thing I'd ease into . Its looks good while your doing it and then all of a sudden its over done . At least that's my tendency . Some light dusting could enhance the look of this one . But then I'd go light with it and towards the rear mostly since she's still wearing her skirts and probable didn't travel far off road .

The crew looks great. Nice figgie work.
If I may make a suggestion. Don't know if you said already you were gonna do this but, the tracks are a bit rusty and too evenly rusted. Might use a nice dark wash to tone it down. Spares too.

Nice work on the the Tiggy II mate. I agree with Mark btw, unless you are depicting a KT which stands still for a while I'd try to tone down the rusty look of the tracks indeed. Other than that, great work!
Cheers

super work old chap it's looking very nice indeed. Agree with the chaps if you add any chipping make it very light, a touch or two on the crew hatches and edges should do nicely

Evening guys Bill, Luigi-Many thanks Carl-Considering the caliber of the individuals offering said advice I'd be an idiot not to act on it, thanks again for your honest opinion Deano-Glad you like what you see, thanks for stopping by Wingy-I agree, the tracks are too rusty/brilliant. I've toned down the spares and will dirty up the tracks but have not gotten to that yet. I'm grateful for the advice don't be worried about offending me you will not Wouts, Richard, Pete-Thanks for the kind comments All-I've decided not to fool with chipping based on opinions given as well as my own So the next installment on the slowest build I've ever done, the crew is done Dirt and dust up next Thank you for your support Regards, Mark

Crew figs add a nice dimension to this one Mark. Remember it's not a race so take as long as you need to, coming along just fine!

Morning all Much thanks for the nice comments, you are all too kind. It may be done I'm not sure. Gotta put it somewhere and not look at it for a couple of days, get a bit of distance so I can see it more clearly. I failed to mention the figures are conglomerations from the parts box, adjusted accordingly with saw, file and filler. Ta da... Regards, Mark

She's a boot brotha ! I agree , put her away and don't look at her for a while .Get a fresh feel for it later on . Your conglomeration skills are most admirable .

Superb work my friend! Love the paint scheme, love the figures and love that really subtle weathering - perfection! I think you made the right choice by opting out of covering this beast with chips. It's nice to see a really good build not covered in scratches and heavy chips. I do like the whole chipping thing and tend to use it to varying degrees on all of my builds but I'm going to make a point of light weathering and replacing full-on chipping with some Graphite pencil/dry-brushing to show light wear on raised areas instead of dabbing every little corner and panel line with chips. I think I've taken the edge of some of my better work in the past with heavy weathering and chipping so I'm going to use this KT as a guideline to help with my current project 38(t) and my next project (Dragons Zimmed KT with Henschel Turret). Anyway - super impressive work and this blog will definately help me with my KT build. Which kit was this btw? Cheers, Ben
