Andy, you've done it, my friend! LOOKS REALLY GREAT! Now, be carefull to you base. Personally, I'd rather choose something classical, even a black base. Something not to interfere with your work. The white trunk base looks interesting but its colour with that of feathers, hmm... Maybe before choose one, make some tests, put your bust on every base and see what is helping have a better general look. After all,you can distinguish best, being placed in front of the physical object. A small question: do you intend to let the small white belt on the both arms with that colour? Otherwise, it worthed waiting so long. Cheers! Nicolae

I am glad you look at it that way just like my wife did. Always listen to the wife... LOL I followed the box art and they had white leather straps. I thought about painting them natural leather but later on I liked the white look better.

Thank you for your support! I have one more question... is the cat leopard or some kind of cat? I couldn't find an answer when I googled several times.

Andy, you should be rightly proud of the outstanding job you have done on this great model. I love the eyes on both man and beast, your rendition of the feathers is really good (you didn't need real feathers after all)I love the way you have used a very thin black line to represent dirt in the area between the white metal armour and the gold coloured armour. I hope this takes pride of place in your collection. Dennis

Andy, as I know, the elite units of hussards liked to wear exotic capes which include panther, leopard, tiger. Usually, wolf and lynx. Glad to see this lovelly bust finished. And hope to see you again with similar projects! Cheers, Nicolae

Dennis- Thank you very much especially coming from a master in figure painting! I am huge fan of using heavily thinned raw umber or burnt umber oil paint on my figures as it helps make details POP. Now we can see where white and gold metal meets... I even used it on the feathers too. LOL
It is definitely one of my favorites and I have a perfect place for it where my family and friends can see it in the family room. Thank you again!
Nicolae- Once again thank you for your support. Now it makes sense depending where they are or availability of the fur. I was tempted to order another bust from Young Miniatures as they do have different bust with softer head protection but I was surprised to find that it is already sold out. I hope they will make more...

Nice call on the base and bell jar to safeguard it Andy! Those wings look like they would catch on things if left in a traditional case or display for sure. Very nice work all around plus we all get to say we admire your bust without it sounding the slightest bit awkward.

Professor- LOLOLOLOL! I am glad you love my bust as much as I love my wife's bust. Way too funny... glad you liked the case. Those feathers are very fragile... I have been so lucky so far none have snapped off so far. (knocking on wood)
Mr T- Thanks boss!!! Surprised how it came out... far better than my first bust if you can remember the German and his dog. LOL You can find those cases at Hobby Lobby... I used 40% coupon of course I think it was only $16 or $18 after sale.
Leon- Thanks my favorite wizard... couldn't have done without your magical power!
John- LOL Thanks buddy!!! I'd be happy to bring it to next club meeting if you want me to. I think I will go to IPMS meeting too... great bunch of guys too!

Oh yes, I love sales! We do indeed have a Hobby Lobby now (in Bangor - I was just there this weekend). Michaels is down in Portland, so I only hit that about once a year.
You're welcome!
