Hello ladies and gentleman! Time for a new project. This time we have a Trumpeter ChTZ S65 Tractor w/ LZ Models Engine Upgrade and a Mirror Models Russian Fuel Trailer on the block. Originally i was going to do the tractor and a 152mm Soviet Howitzer but it would make for a really big model and i want this to be civy so i dont think the green of the howitzer and the gray i plan on using for the tractor will go well. PLus the civy use thing wouldnt jive with that large of a gun. Ill save the Howitzer for another project. Here's the plan: This will be set after the war and the tractor became recomissioned for farm use. Same with the fuel tank. It maybe had some liquid fertilizer in it. So im going to go for abanonded equipment. Hence why its in rust buckets. For paint i plan to do a rust coat, then russian green on top, heavy chip/peel it. then put this gray color on top and do more chipping and peeling. This way you can see the military colors and maybe tell some of the story. I have a few acessories already like crushed fuel barrels. But im going to go for a farmscape. I may even make one side of a barn. not really sure yet. Going to see where this one takes me. It will be my first time doing rust, as well as tracks. I look forward to it. Here are the model boxes: Here is the Fuel Trailer (complete) I made the tires flat. I know on the more flat tire i got some of the rim but not much i can do. Ill put some caked mud on it to hide that its bent. no biggie. Underside of trailer, just to show the detail. Nice little kit. So now i start the tractor. I started the LZ Engine but im at the point where i need to mount the engine mounts so im at a standstill. I have some excellent reference material for the engine, and i added a couple details i havent seen others do yet so Ill take some pics when i get it done. doesnt really need a build log. Thanks for tuning in!

decided to do an old wood wall with a door as the backdrop to this scene. like an old farm door. came up with this quick design. gonna try to scratch build it. ive seen plenty of tutorals now on how to make wood from styrene. just not sure how to make it look like old wood paint wise. but ill figure it out (aka ask todd, heh) excuse the crudeness of the drawing. was just a quick 15 minute sketch (also i know the hinges are upside down, realized that after).

Dang. Serious project here! I always admire you guys that can stay focused on a single build for long periods of time. i have to. i cant do multiple things at once or ill either never finish it, or ill be thinking of something cool i want to do on the other project and mess up the current one. its only my 4th model since i started again so i havent really got that comfort level that allows me to crack open multiple boxes at once yet haha.
