Hi all Leon many thanks glad your enjoying it Chris matey cheers, yes i hope ill be able to get more bench time in as well Thanks Boots its appreciated Texas many thanks and heres a bit more During a joust or tournemant knights would often, either crop the tail, or fold it back on its self and then tie a ribbon round it. So with that in mind ive made a tail from spru, given it a rough shape and then made a ribbon from milliput, with a nice bow at the bottom. I then added some detail with the pyrogravure Primer then base coat and ill fix it on, fill the edges then paint it up all for now Paul

Hi all thought id make a start on the figure, This is how it comes so all i have to do is chop the arms off, remove and reconstruct the bottom half so it fits the horse, make the armour and a new surcoat and paint it..........................Simples so saw and milliput at the ready Paul

I blame my fingers they cant spell for toffee . very nearly finished jackwagon. OK hacking away ive cut off both the arms and then the bottom half below the waist, so the armour pieces, i,e. the Faulds and the Tuille will have to be rebuilt. Ive also cut off the legs above the Cuisse, so im now left with these 4 bits Ill now have to cut the legs and bend them slightly to allow for the seating all for now Paul

Hacking away there Paul, but I bet it's not as simple as it looks eh? The horse ( or should I say mount ) looks super cool, can't wait to see it all coming together

Hi Guys Thanks for all the comments, i know this is going slow but my time at the bench is quite limited at the mo, Still only this figure and then another horse and figure to go So next step is to make the figure sit the horse. The legs were cut into 3 pieces at the knee and then a wedge cut at the back to allow for the bend. the pieces were then put back together with some milliput. these were then joined to the hips and put into position. the torso was then added with a bit of packing. i need to get a position where his top half has taken the recoil of the lance as it hit his opponent. the right leg is slightly more bent than the left. I also have to imagine where the other rider will be so that they both look natural It all looks a bit messy at the mo but once the milliput has hardened it can be cleaned up all for now Paul

It does already look great. The stance is very natural and dynamic

Nice job reassembling the rider Paul, milliput's excellent stuff and by the time you're done no one will every know the extensive surgery that took place here.

Paul this is amazing; sawing, cutting, filling, assembling and a small masterpiece is starting to appear; with me it would be sawing, cutting (swearing and applying band aids) filling and then flinging, retrieving, repairing and starting again. Look forward to seeing the next post. Dennis
