Thanks guys! With all I've been learning about airbrushing, it was important for me to see the gauge. At the same time, I needed stuff to be at arms reach.

The bed on the floor is for the dog, a rescue greyhound.

I've got an issue.....The LVT flooring we put in 2 years ago has failed. Don't ever use flooring from Parkay Floors. This company refuses to warranty the product. Their excuse was high traffic area. Its a house with 4 adults not a commercial building. Company that installed is going to replace it free, they are very reputable. It'll take about two weeks. But......that means I need to empty my display case. I need a short term place for 100+ built kits. I'm thinking either the garage, but the guys might be using it to cut stuff. DUST. Or the shady part of my lanai. Its not that hot here yet

Very nice space you have there. I have a similar sized room and requires a bit of creativity. I see you also have an instrument for regenerative napping.😁

After I put up the photos of my work room, I realized that I hadn't shown much of the bench, so here tis. The 'bench' is an old desk from the 20's or 30's. The drawers are as deep as the desk, the left hand side mostly filled with paints and the right with tools.

Thanks Dodgy, I went with a distinguished looking medium olive. It's very warm and really gets the mojo flowing. The helmet was brought back from WWII by my great uncle Harvey and it's in almost brand new condition, including the webbing. I also have an original framed lithograph of Adolph that he brought back, but that stays in the closet. I wouldn't want that hanging out for all to see!

It's funny, I've got a very large collection of militaria from all periods and nationalities, including lots of WWII German and Japanese stuff. No one comments on the Nazi stuff, but nearly everyone says how they dislike the Japanese swords. To me it's all just history. Here in Australia the federal government has just banned the public display, sale, swapping, transporting and bartering of anything showing a swastika or SS runes. So much for personal freedoms.

How can one dislike a Japanese sword? It's the association with its use. I look at them and think about their age and the work that goes into making them. The handmade ones are truly works of art. Anti Japanese feeling still runs fairly high here.

I think on a per capita basis, the Aussies had a higher percentage of POWs and subsequent bad experiences than compared to the US or other Western Allied countries that fought Japan.

Anti Japanese feeling still runs fairly high here. I think on a per capita basis, the Aussies had a higher percentage of POWs and subsequent bad experiences than compared to the US or other Western Allied countries that fought Japan. I think it was also the threat of invasion. Whilst history tells us that Japan had no plans to invade, that wasn't known at the time. Darwin, Broome, Townsville and Catherine were all bombed, Darwin heavily. Sydney was attacked by midget subs and U Boats, Q ships and Japanese subs operated around our coasts. But I think you're right Stik, it was more about the treatment of POWs. However, Australians generally have no knowledge of how hard the Japanese were on their own people. Reading the experiences of Japanese veterans was certainly an eye opener for me. It was also very much a racial war because of the physical differences between us... Of course it didn't stop the Federal government from employing Japanese contractors to salvage the ships sunk in Darwin harbour by Japanese planes.

So everything is back in cabinet. I have a bunch of repairs to do. I think the vibration from the floor being installed made some of the builds bounce. Quite a few landing gear and doors and ordinance to re-glue. One kit the gear snapped so will have to think about that repair.
