Guys- Glad you all liked it... Tuesdays are usually busiest day for me. Boys Scout thing which my boys enjoy doing very much. Leon- Thanks... glad you had faith in me. LOL Steve- LOL! Glad you are not a fan of RB MINIGUN too! LOL Can't wait... hoping for slower weekend so I can put paint on it. Robbo- Thanks mate! I agree despite many hours I have put on those two. MF- Unfortunately I agree... I have a Blackhawk kit from Academy in stash and it has two miniguns too. Jeez, I probably will have to replace them too but not for a year or two!!! Taking a long break... Boo- Worth it... good thing I didn't type out all of words I cussed or I would have been banned by now. Thanks my friend! Bill- Thanks... appreciate it. You got it right... just a friendly reminder how the kit gun parts looked... LOL! Tell you the truth I am feeling alot better and I don't think I hate RB miniguns. I just wish RB comes with a better set perhaps thicker PE or resin instead of those cheap thing brass round pieces. They bent every time I try to insert another barrel... not worth it. So I added thin sheet of styrene to reinforce which really helped. I don't care if rivet counters don't approve but they hell look better than kit parts.

Nice work on the miniguns, and a massive improvement on the kit version. Was worth the stress methinks! Of course it wasn't me that had to build them..... Cheers, Sam

Nice job with those guns...MAJOR improvement over the kit bits!
Very bummed that no one makes a mask set for this kit (or the other ones DML has like it). How are you planning on going about painting all the glass?

Bob- Thanks my work-alcoholic friend! LOL Sam- LOL Its worth it now but I don't think I want to do it again for a long time. Gonna look around if there is a better minigun set maybe in resin. Dupes- Thanks buddy! I wish there was a masking for this. Guess I will have to use Tamiya paint tapes. First I will dip the clear parts into Future. It is my first attempt so I am kinda nervous about doing this. Will tape pull Future off the surface when I peel the tape off?

Future's pretty tough stuff Andy, after all it's designed for people to walk on it! Just make sure to give it 24 hours to cure nice and thorough and you should have no issues with it pulling off with the tape.

Thanks Bill! Makes sense... yes I normally allow Future dry more than 24 hours.

Good griefe Andy , looks like bucket full of probs . I built a variation of this kit by DML and the prob. i had was the fit of the bubble canopy ...gap around the backside . So be aware of thast when you assemble the front of the fuselage ....test fit the canopy before paint my friend . I did a kit bash and used the gattling gun off an Italeri kit and it looked pretty good for one made from plastic . Looks like the RB gun was a pain in the pahtoochee .....as my Russian granny used to say . Mini gun firing www.youtube.com/watch?v=huyqM3j5jPc

Carl- Loved the video! Sure looked like if it was shooting laser beams!!! Great job on your mini gun! Like how you connected the wirings. That's something I should do the same... now I need to look for pictures of them to the Little Bird. Thanks buddy! Dicky- Thanks mate! No question I love RB products... except for those miniguns! LOL Maybe it will be easier next time. I had to add styrene to reinforce the weakened brass pieces. Better luck next time. Looks like I will have to buy two more if nobody else makes better AM set than RB because I checked the Blackhawk kit from Academy (reboxed MRC kit) and their miniguns looked kinda OK. Here they are... at least they are molded in one piece instead of two like Dragon did. I can't wait to build this kit... next year perhaps. Its pretty huge in 1/35 scale. I might include figures for this... Nothing exciting to report tonight... no energy. Sprayed flat black mixed with dark grey on the cockpit last night.

I am so glad you posted the pictures because it made me realize I need to add wirings too. I found several great pictures how they were wired. Thank you so much!
I don't think I will use those kit parts on Blackhawk so guess I am stuck with RB minigun again. LOL Unless I find something better...

That's wierd, yer previous posts weren't showing last nite hence my ridiculously lengthy post following on from yer piccies of the completed items! D'oh! Despite the trials and tribulations here you've come out the other side with two tremendous looking bits of weaponry......I have nothing more to say other than.....RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!!RB MINIGUNS!! LOL! Thanks mate! No worries... sometimes we lost track of everything as I can barely keep up with everybody's builds now. I love my RB Miniguns as much as you love your Trumpeter kits! Finally an update... lost mojo for no reason... just damn busy at home and work. Interior 'pit is finally painted. Sprayed flat clear after I took the pic so I can apply dark washes next. Just noticed that I forgot to paint the leather pads under the seat belts... guess its time for bed. Later guys!

Wow! Great progress and so quick too! This looks like a superb kit! When I saw the metled ammo belt I immediately thought can it be chopped out and mated up with the reverse end - honestly! Good save! I KEEP saying I'm going to build a Stuka - I must get round to it asap! Keep us posted Andy, Ben

Tick tock. tick tock, tick tock........ Dicky- Fortunately I am deaf so I can not hear those annoying tick tock noises. LOL Worked on the interior last night... made some last minute improvements then an accident happened. I snapped both ammo belts in pieces... oh well, I never liked them anyway. Placed an order for aftermarket set that includes four long ammo belts made in rubber from Cobra Company this morning. Tuesdays are busiest day so probably no update tonight... try not to miss me too much! Steve- Thanks buddy! Applied MIG dark wash last night... looking better already. Planning to use MIG's lighter wash since it was used in the desert so it was dusty inside without doors you know. Can't wait to post an update... Boots- No worries! You have been very busy shooting those zombies off from your battle taxi. Can't wait to build that Blackhawk but it is so huge! Maybe I will do a Huey again but from Vietnam War era next year. Wait and see which one I am in mood to build... thanks for dropping by!

Hi Andy, Interesting that you know the one too look for. I've been looking into them (briefly) and have no idea what's the best Stuka kit to look for.
What have you got your eyes on?
Great looking build dude - keep it coming! Ben

Dicky- LOL! Appreciate it... always great having you around too!
Ben- Hey pal! Oopie, I shouldn't have called you 'pal'. LOL For 1/48 scale, guys here suggested either Airflix or Hasegawa kits if I am correct. I need to find that post again...brain fried right now. If you want 1/32, go for Hasegawa or Trumpeter. Hope I can find that thread... however I saw a recent announcement about new Stuka with tank killing cannons, I can't remember who makes 'em.

OK cockpit has been washed with MIG washes. Now its dirty... hopefully it will make those guys with dirty mind happy now. Sorry about the crappy pictures... I painted the knobs again before they were washed. Since the cockpit is finally done, I can proceed to have the fuselage assembled next...
