Here is a top view of the engine with some styrene wiring which was kind of an experiment.

Holy smokes!!! Great work on the engine... you are definitely a red neck or a mechanic? And more, if I only had some steady hands and good eyes I could really make some engines. I guess everyone has things that they would like to see improved, I have assumed when it says "deafpanzer" it describes a serious impairment. I also suffer from hearing loss and hate hearing aides, which only seem to work for a short period of time, because of past experience with them. Genetically my mother was deaf when she reached 85 and I can see I will be close to that if I make it that long, no fun when people are talking and you cant understand what they are saying. I cant begin to understand what hearing nothing must be like because I can still hear enough to guess which has humor when I see foreheads wrinkle and I know my answer did not respond correctly to the question.

Despite my deafness since birth, forums are perfect for me to enjoy my hobby because of no communication barrier! I enjoy going to model shows but I don't speak very well so I rely on sign language interpreters. I really want to join local model clubs but I am trying to figure out how we will communicate as I don't want to be a burden for local club to keep me entertained during its monthly meetings. Do you know sign language yet? If so, then we should go to shows together. LOL Let me know if you struggle to use the telephone because there are great products and services that you can use for free in your state. I work for not-for-profit organization that distribute free captioned telephones for my state Indiana.

When you say "struggle" that's exactly what happens, if the caller has a good strong voice and speaks slowly I can get by OK but if it is anything else I have to have them repeat everything a number of times/ My solution is I done answer the phone at all, my wife will answer or she will tell me who it is. If its a stranger or a call for some other reason she makes the call to be sure whats said is understood. I have certain people I can understand easily and I will call them but its limited. Why don't you send me a message on these options you mentioned and I will take a look or if there is printed literature you could send it.

Hi Mr Bones

I can post them if you want?
Looking good so far mate

Thanks for taking the time to stop and look, it has been a real educational experience. I would welcome any reference as mine is some what limited particularly on the interior. I just disciovered a mistake on the rear doors where I posed them wide open only to realize that when the bed is on the chasis the doors cannot be wide open so back a step or two.

I forgot, Yes I am OK with Allied vehicles of all types from 1900 to 1945 so the 1920 Rolls certainly fits that group. And anything that Lawrence said was worth it weight in rubies has to be experienced even if it is a model slightly after T.E..

I thought I better post a shot or two to show that I really do work on this project from time to time. These shots are nothing much just giving an idea of things to come in a few more days.

I wish that I had used Andy's tissue paper texturing on the seats but I caught it to late and I hate going back for a re-do so it will be in my box of tricks for the future.
The floor in the vehicle was wooden and my reference shows that it was possibly covered in white over-spray and then worn down with use. I have added a couple of small items, in one reference I have it was said that being part of the crew gave you a chance to duck and dodge the flying stowage items at times.

A shot of the bed showing modifications to make the bed smooth which all the references show the beds for these vehicles as being. They were wooden but made from joined smooth boards not a headboard surface. I have to apologize for it being a little out of focus but I didn't catch that until later.
I also forgot to mention the removal and replacement of the straps the held the rivets in place and my replacing those with Tichy Train rivets.

Thanks for looking and the nice comments, I have been slowed here with some fishing and crabbing missions with an added minor personal problem that demands I deal with it now. I will still try to get some more pictures posted this week so you can get a better vview of where this is going.

Just catching up here Bones - the improvements are numerous and executed brilliantly. Great stuff, finally got my hands on this same kit today HUZZAH!!! Can't wait to have a go at this one, such an iconic vehicle It is iconic and overall not a bad build with some help. When you get ready to build send me an e mail address and Ill give you all the reference stuff I have. The important thing I found is that the fit dimensions are quiet good making some of the work easy.

Thanks a lot for all the effort you have put into this kit. It has saved me a lot of work as I have one waiting to get built. Mine is the 1914 model with the wire wheels. Very good work on your kit. Steve

Masked, getting ready for base coat, I made an error here in cutting that mask midway beyond the white inner circle of the aerial identification white roundel and the outside edge of the Royal Blue roundel. My plan at the time was to use the kit supplied decal which did not work out as we will see.
