Always impressed with how well you work with tiny exquisite details like this Marc, very nice...and the end of your antibiotics means you're restored to your full powers...even if they aren't all human!

A scratch built prop, wood work and metal work done on plastic! Then there's the spark plugs! By the way are they gapped to scale? Outstanding work you have here. Dave

Hi Men. WOW... 7 days since posting First, thnaks to all the commented alongthe way so far and sorry for not acknowledging sooner. Sorry but not much time for the hobby lately. But I am building up a nice reserve to spend on the hobby down the road.[ ] I have been lurking all along though. A slight pause in the work load has allowed me at least a little bit of bench time. The guns are ready to go. I used the Master set but replace toe front piece with the one from the kit PE fret. That has the sight and front as one piece. No way was the Master sight going to survive. Cockpit and engine bearers all inside and fuselage buttoned up. Holy crap that was tedious. The WNEW tolerances make for some tricky work. And I still needed a shim on the bottom. Not sure what the pipes under the guns are but I added some brass tube to the bottom of the fuselage where they exit and the panel lines rescribed.

MGs look great!!! Glad we still can see the cockpit pretty much unlike most wingy kits that you can barely see inside.
Hope you are feeling 110% better so you will post an update every hour or something like that. Welcome back by the way! LOL

This thing's looking great, Marc!
For future reference, I've got a contact at WNW and could probably help expedite replacements if it comes to it. Additionally, HGW is making some crazy-good microtextile belts for the Wingnut kits these days.
Love those spark plugs! Please tell me you're going to continue the tiny-bits-of-metal awesomeness with some Gaspatch turnbuckles!

Andy, I've been back to full health for a while. Just working my @$$ off. OK, that may be a bit of an exaggeration. Given the size of my butt, there just ain't that much work out there Thanks Doogs... I have the RB Production turnbuckles to use. Got 'em before I heard about the gaspatch ones. I will say that folding the RB buckles is a real PITA. But when a drop of brass paint is added they don't look to be at all.

Sorry to hear that RL is slowing you down a bit Marc but it's what funds the hobby so we have to bear with it! Nice update though. Got to love the look of those guns.

Great job on the fuselage. I particularly like the jig you're using for it, is it custom made for this plane or is it universal?

Thanks guys. I know Gary, it was tough to get though the week Bill, it does seem to get inthe way sometimes. The guns are up on a high shelf out of harm's way. Luigi I made that for the 1st Albatros I did. I kept in just in case

HAHA...Made ya look! After many color combos and application techniques I think I’ve got wood. Plywood actually. Pretty much the same as I did on my other Albatros (link below) just some color and pattern changes. What do you think? wingnutmodels.com/DvaPaint.html

Thanks guys. Luigi, did you check the link in my post? I did bascially the same thing as that. I just think this one turned out better to look like the birch plywood typical on an Albatros.

Looks like wood from here! Although if it lasts for more than 4 hours you may need to seek medical help...

And I love your new wordage. I’ll have to try that one out. In the middle of the night… (nudge, nudge) “Honey… wake up… I have timberosity.”

Nice to see you getting in some bench time Marc, that airspeed indicator reminds you of just how primitive (yet effective) these machines were at the time. As for Dicky's uncanny abilities, we can't discuss those in the open you know.
