Sorry for not say so sooner but thanks for all that stopped by to have a look see and comment.

Oh man do I need a break. Bench time is measured in minutes these days. Sorry for not getting around to the rest of the sections to see what’s what. I am taking Father’s Day w/e off so MAYBE bench/forum time.

Lots of pics but not as big of an update as I would have liked it to be.

The pics below… After apply some fading filters I decided to tried some AK streaking grime on the fuselage. Not unhappy with the results. Some engine oil seeping in at the plywood seams. I wanted to darken the fly tying thread I use for the rigging so I notched gray marker and pull the thread though the notch. Dark but not black and the silvery base gives it a little bit of a metallic sheen. LET THE RIGGING BEGIN… WOOHOO.

Gary, It can test ones patience fer sure. I don't usually go in for the psychobabble stuff. But there is this one thing referred to as "flow" or "flow moments" that I think we have all experienced it at one time or another. It's when you get so focused on one thing and all else gets tuned out completely. You even aren't sure how much time has passed sometimes and the shrinky-dinks say that's what give that relaxed feeling. That happens to me when I get into this kind of task. I am guessing it's why the actual build is my favorite part of the hobby. I am tkaing a couiple of day so hopefully I'll be doing some serious flowin'.

Hello Marc,
Outstanding work on the rigging. Are you using GasPatch turnbuckles? If so, then I am going to have to get some. They look great here.

It's official... IT'S A BIPLANE!!!

Got all the eyelets in place, and cobbled together the radiator louver handle and it was finally time to mount the upoper wing. That jug I used worked great and the wing was in perfect alignment.

Right on Marc! Well, ya Damn sure got your "Flow" in Spades on this one my friend.....shes an outstanding piece of Master modeling!

I was able to get in a nice long session at the bench this evening. Enough to wrap this one up. It’ll never make to the show tables, but still, I am not unhappy. The rigging was a particular PITA this time and of course of my own doing. I forgot to drill out some of the holes for the turnbuckles and a few of them kept popping of since I couldn't glue the “pin” down far enough. And when I used the hot match to tighten some of the slack in some of the line I melted them and had to redo them. Still a few that I need to tend to.

Be that as it may, I am calling it done. And no 4 round of "completed" pics, I promise.

Marc,this is a cracking piece of modelling mate!! Usually when I see these built up at shows,they look pristine,but you have portrayed the old 'Veteran' look to a 'T'!!!! Love the finish you've attained
