Hey guys, thanks so much for all the nice things you've been saying. Really means something coming from this group that's for sure.
Dicky I will be starting a thread for there shortly. But here's a spoiler.. It's gonna be an M1A1 that participated in the Thunder Run into Baghdad on Apr 3, 2003.

I was sure I had already commented this masterpiece, but it seems I missed it. Sorry for being late, what a stunning job. BTW I used your build to show the right wood colour to a friend who's building one in 1/48

Just finished reading through your entire build log Marc and learned a lot from the techniques and methods you used for creating the most realistic WWI German fighter that I have seen to date. Brother you are one skilled plastic freak! The final photographs you posted speak volumes about the rich textures, colors and finishes throughout this eye-catching creation; the eyes simple do not tire of viewing every part of this masterpiece. This must look additionally awesome with the subject directly in front of the Mk I eyeballs!
Funny you mention that it will never make it to the show tables, very humbel of you 'cause that would be like showing up to the party dressed in full black evening attire with bow tie, James Bond style, just like all of the guests there but the only one not sporting brown shoes! Clearly without a doubt a 1st place GOLD winner IMHO!

Great looking plane !
I'm was wondering a bit when I saw the WIP pics of the "wood-grain-technique", but it looks very convincing on the finished model.
