Thanks Leon!
I got the chipping done last night on the wheels and treated everything to a grey/green oil (Green earth hue) filter. Will probably do another layer tonight, then it'll be clear coat for the weathering stage! I'm thinking light mud and dust on a cobblestone base of some sort. Anyone have any pics with a T-34 or any other eastern front vehicles in a intact city/town with cobblestones. Perhaps in a square with a fountain? Just some thoughts and share some pics if you know of any. I can't find any.

Great pics, Luigi! Mille grazie! I really like the 5th and 6th ones. That brickwork on the wall would be a challenge in the 5th huh. Thanks for the inspiration material. I've spent hours searching google and havn't found anything like this! Thanks mate:)

Thanks fellas! Geek: I really liked how the use of the pins on the tracks turned out. They ended up straight and pretty easy to work with. I'v already got more for my next set of Friuls. I also really like the pin head that mimics the head of the pin on the real thing. You just have to make sure to put it on the outside:) Thanks for looking and glad to have you aboard! Nate

They're pretty snug. they were .55mm lace and silk pins. There is quite a bit of play side to side however with these tracks due, I guess, to the softness of the white metal. Perhaps your tracks were slightly skewed/not a perfectly straight moulding? No problem. Cheers

Hey guys, I finally got some work done on this one. Put a clear coat on the other day and finally got around to some dirtification. Started working with oils tonight. Basically I did a very controlled wash, dragging and pushing dirt and funk into all the corners/nooks/crannies. I think it's going in the right direction. I also got a new camera this weekend. First attempts with these. I need to tweak the lighting, they're a little yellow but I already like the pics better. Let me know what you think and whether any spots need attention. This is the first of many layers to come. ACW. Cheers

The gloss coat makes a little difficult to see all the great work you're doing on this one. But I like it a lot

Nice looking T-34, I like your weathering so far! Filters are looking great. Nice color too... Now, if only I can get the mojo back to finish up my tracks for the one I built, so much damn clean up! Paul

Gary: Thanks buddy, me too! Guy: Cheers. I'm taking my time with this one. Trying to get better. Mac: Thank you kindly. Andy: Thanks, bud. What do you think of the tank!? LOL Luigi: You're right the clear coat does affect the pics but I thought it was necessary to protect the previous finish/washes. Paul: Thanks for your kind words. I hear ya man, I gave up on this the first time after having ALREADY cleaned all the kit tracks. They were just too fiddly for my patience at the time. Thanks for looking in.

Got a little muddy tonight:) I mixed a slurry of the following, slapped it on behind the running gear, and sprinkled more pigs on top. So I can put the running gear on and weather everything together. I like it so far. I'll knock it down and move it around some when it's dry to make it look more natural. Let me know what you think:) Turning the corner on this one, then it'll be onto the base:)

Nothing like some nice mud to give a T-34 some character! Just don't let Andy anywhere near it...he'll want to marry it then sling it around!
