Chaps. Going to use this project is a bit of a gap filler until the new Harley kit arrives in December, if I don't finish this by then, I will halt it until I have done the Harley. So, on with the show, I present Tamiya's 1/24 Aston Martin DBS. Back soon.

Hi ,Mence,
Count me in for this one mate. This has to be one of my favourite cars. I wish Tamiya would do a 1/12 scale of this beauty.
Best Regards
Keith.

Chaps. T, Leon, welcome, good to have you aboard. It's a neat kit although I do have some grumbles about the parts breakdown no matter how well it's molded! Keith, hi buddy, good to see you drop by. Have to agree, one of these in 1/12 would be top of my wish list no matter how expensive it was! ER, very kind offer....Not I won't do a what's in the box but here's a pic anyway along with some really cool foil detailing from Hobby Design and some slightly tastier wheels care of F G Model. And finally, the colour I have chosen, not what you would normally expect but an AM genuine colour all the same. Back soon.

Chaps.
Steve, Goldfinger wasn't it? As for the colour, I could have done a silver, black or light green as most people do but I thought it might be nice to have a go at a less common colour.
DP, actually mate, I can't stand Martini, gin and tonic, now, that's different!
Robbo, welcome mate, good to have you along, glad you approve of my choice.
Boo, always more than welcome good buddy. I'm hoping the colour is going to come out ok, it's one of those that really needs clear coat before you get the full effect.
Dicky, thanks fella, this is trying to make up for Mrs W thwarting my plan to go meet you today, not quite the same but hey!
Spent three hours on it this evening and I haven't glued a thing yet!

Chaps. ER, the AM is nice but there have been some issues reported that the wheels might not fit the tyres!, we will see. Jeff, hi buddy, welcome, I will try to do that great styling some justice... Here's a start and also the main source of my grumbles. The floor is molded in one part which incorporates parts I would like to see separately such as wheel arch inners and exhausts. This means much masking and painting using both acrylics and enamels to try and achieve a reasonable result. Bit of tidying up then on with the rear suspension...

Chaps. Cheers Dicky, I would like to think Tamiya had me in mind when they created this, I really do. Hi Chris, long time no see, good to have you back fella! Update was planned but I have run out of light before I could take a picture so will have to be tomorrow. Off to tie down the garden furniture in the hope it will still be there tomorrow.

Hi Chris, long time no see, good to have you back fella! Off to tie down the garden furniture in the hope it will still be there tomorrow. Keeping my head down Mence, I decided to do some building instead of talkinjg about it all the time ! actually managed to finish something a while back, did an Eduard 1/48 Spitfire, so the mojo has returned (its in the WW2 aircraft section if you fance a butchers). Make sure its all tied down, its windy enough here in Belfast and we are only getting the tail end of it. Going to be a fun night ahead mate. Chris.

Good to see ya sticking stuff matey, it's hard at times to keep up with such an active forum as well as build ya own stuff.
Not looking forward to tonight, being only 20 miles from the South coast, I'm expecting a rough ride!

Right, this isn't the planned update but I did grab a quick pic of something else. I mentioned earlier that the AM wheels were possibly a concern due to them not always fitting the kit tyres. Curiosity got the better of me so a quick 20 minutes prep and the moment of truth... Woohoo, the quality is A1 and the fit is as perfect as you could hope for. I think they look really nice, the hubs with the wheel nuts are separate which is a nice touch, It should all look very tasty when I finally get some colour on them!
