It's been an interesting mix the last few months. I blame Rob for the Ship, CB for the Aircraft, and my wife for the Sci Fi! Next project is going to be Bronco's Pzkpfw I Ausf. F I think unless something changes my mind in the next week or so.

I have to admit Bill it's real nice. Take a couple days off go get drunk and clear all that nonsense out of your head so you can get back on the good old terra firma. Tony lee

Tony lee Sounds like good advice Tony! I do have one small side-project to get out of the way, a friend asked me to assemble his AMT USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E 1/2500 kit that he'd bought but didn't realize it was a kit! Thing has all of a dozen parts but a lot of decals, so once that's done, it will be back to the good ol' world of armor for me!

I think the Star of Afrika just smiled a bit in the great beyond.
I've only ever built 1 Trumpy kit and it was an aircraft... 1/24 Fw190D-9... and there was plenty of issues accuracy issues. I am by no means a rivet counter but I do take note of the issues in case I "want" to fix 'em. And I ve read that it seems to be a "thing" with them. But Its is with others too to be fair. So this is not a criticism of your built since, as I have already said, I lay claim to the marital rights of the fair maiden. When I saw the the piece sticking out of the right side of the lower fuselage I was thinking that they put something there that's not meant to be. I did manage to find 1 pic in my ref book where I can just make that out so I am thinking it is a rare component. Do they say what it is? An antenna?
I also noticed the center canopy frame is painted RLM 79. It obvious that Trumpy made ya do it. But as far as I as was aware, all the F-4.. maybe all F's... had sliding panels that could be opened so there isn't a center frame section, just a slight overlap of the glass. But now that I think of it the Eduard masks must have "made" ya do it too. Hmmm? Can the 109 experten out here confirm this?

Apologies Bill - could've sworn I posted here... That's OK... once you get past the 'denial' part you will accept the fact you are getting older. Acceptance is healthy...

Marc, glad you like how it turned out! As for the 'antenna' on the right side...I added it because the instructions said to. They didn't identify what it was...so it's possible it doesn't belong or belongs on a 'G' for example? On the canopy question, both Trumpeter and Eduard called for it to be painted that way...so I didn't have much choice there either. Dicky, glad you found your way here! Thanks as always my friend. As for doing a modern subject, it might require you to reciprocate with a wingy!
