Hey Guy, Big W.C!! I will be following this one mate, nice to see you still do the odd figure...but a bust? Certainly a change of pace compared to armor, but with all of the strings you have to your bow....this will be awesome!! I saw this particular bust recently at a show but unfortunately my allowance was finished lol Groetjes, Shay

Dennis, you defo put it right, it's iconic and a joy to paint with all the razor sharp detail in it ! T, a man's got to be ready before he goes to "duel build" war. Shay, I'm glad you're in fella. It was time to something different after the Comet and Cromwell tank builds, a bust is always good fun, and certainly when there's a lot of good people around to support me, I'll need it because I'm afraid there's no 'figure painting' string on my bow. Nicusi, To be honest mate, I don't exactly have a real plan, I try to follow my instinct LOL. Leon, thanks bro, your words soften the pain that will follow soon finishing this one.

Life does real great sculpts for their figures, but this here is exeptional! It looks so cool and I am curious where you will end. Till now it is well done and seeing all those face details it must be a joy to paint. Seeing it closely I have the idea to do this bust as a space marine veteran. OK, skin me alive, but the face with the cigar, only a few minor sculpt add ons, some scars and bingo: Captain Hulk could be in service again!

Frank, Churchill becoming Captain Hulk after a few Milliput touches, why not ? Sounds bloody cool ! Terry, thanks mate ! The eyes aren't done yet, I still have to add extra detail in them. I'm using oils now. Best regards ! AG

The sculpt is REALLY good! And you bring out every detail with your paintjob, excellent. I am very curious what you will do more on him!

Hey Guy, W.C and his twin brother are looking great! You have achieved very natural looking skin tones, I wouldn't mind seeing a close up on the eyes sometime though! My favourite would be the bust without the hat, but man...these busts must be a pleasure to paint with! Have you ever thought about using acrylics? Cheers, Shay

Shay, to be honest I've always had a soft spot for oil paints. They have one disadvantage : dust coming down on the oils during drying time. But it's stressless to work with oils (drying time, blending). In the future I'd like to give the acrylics a try. I will give the eyes some more attention but I'll also give myself a break as this is a learning process for me. Frank, it's a cool old man for sure, the bust isn't complete without the cigar ! Andy, I like them both, but if I have to pick one now it's the bare head.

G, that looks fantastic!! Making some great progress! I too agree with getting ready for a "duel"...LOL!! Brushing up on some figure skills myself while I await the arrival of my bust! Good news though, it should be in the mailbox tomorrow!! As for the drying time and dust element. a small cup! Stick whatever piece(s) you are working on in their prospective holders and place a small cup over it. This will keep the dust off it until it dries! Never let the wife toss anything out especially old mixing bowl and plastic containers...LOL!! The bowls work great for tanks brotha!!
