Looking forward to seeing the next instalment Guy, your work on this bust is truly inspiring! You are aiming high mate, this is really getting me psyched up for the "Busty Build". I'm going for a third bust...fancy equalling me?? Shay

Thank you guys, tomorrow I have a day off so I can add more shadows and highlighs. Best regards ! AG. Thanks for the nice replies fellers. I don't quote myself often but now I have no choice...I have an accute ear infection so I wasn't in the mood for painting. Shay, I have two busts for the group build and I hope I will finish these early this year so I can pick a third one (o yes I've already one eye on it).

It sounds like my head is hidden under a bucket when I speak, most annoying ! But that didn't keep me away from my hobby bench, so I applied more shadows and higlights. The bowtie was given a more dark grey blue to make it stand out more on the white shirt. Tomorrow I can apply the deepest shadows and the brightest highlights. Best regards ! AG.

Who needs balance and hearing! Just make sure your hands are steady and the bench is always there.

Friends, thank you very much ! The blue grey part of the job is done, finally ! After a good overnight drying I'm pleased with the look of the paint. I won't apply more highlights and shadows, I think it will be overkill. Next are the white stripes (suit)and dots (bowtie)...the white shirt and more. This is how I let dry my work, dust free and with circulating heat. Best regards ! AG

Sweet, now that the oils have dried the true shadows and highlights really come to life. Gotta love them oils Bro. Now, did I hear you say you were going to "PIN" stripe this puppy??? Certainly a major undertaking, but you'll knock er out no problem AG.
Love the drier, great idea. Dust is my biggest enemy in the bunker, can't seem to eradicate it, so I recon it's there to stay, lol.
Ruck On Brother, looks great! Cheers, Ski.

Nice trick for the drier Guy...reminds me of the same setups in beauty salons! Really looking sharp now with all those subtle tones and shades.

I get a heartache watching this! The suit looks like done from fabric, a paint job to drool for. What to say more here whats not been said before? Absolute brilliant. And for you ear infection, heck, this is really disturbing. But try to see it relaxed: No nagging people around which disturbs the needed silence whilst painting. For that reason, you have a win-win situation. I hope you will rcover soon from it, Bro!

Thanks guys, you can't imagine what it means to me to hear I inspire people to go for a bust !
Thanks Frank, the ear's better thanks to the cortisone, and the headache is almost gone.
I did not forget this bust my friends,it's not on the shelf, I'm currently focusing on my knight bust.
Best regards ! AG.

Thank you guys ! Today my Winston was given a fine mist of satin gloss to even the tones of the clothing, it will also make painting the stripes a lot easier. I ordered fine brushes for this purpose, masking the whole thing is too complicated so... Tonight I've taken this picture with artificial light and a blue background, it wasn't photoshopped and the result is really funny... Next week it will be finished. Best regards ! AG.
