Wanted to MAYBE get color down last night, but after inspecting the body I found some low spots which at first I was just going to ignore, but... I just couldnt do things the easy way. More primer today or tonight and wet sanding tomorrow. Hopefully color this week. I think I want to add black to the side skirts and bumper so I need to plan/mask those out. Plus the side vents as well.

More work tonight. Alclad Steel is such a great color. I want to dry brush the letters same as the body color but... Its hard to see in the photo but the valley is still visible even though I filled sanded and primed again. Oh well. I will clean it up and hopefully wet sand tomorrow.

With the attention to detail you are giving this I am really looking forward to seeing how it looks painted.

Look at you, moving RIGHT along. Great work so far. Best way for me to work is in random hour time slots after the kid goes to bed. So I tend to have a lot fo small updates. This thing is gonna look sooo cool. I'm loving the direction you're taking it so far. I appreciate that thank you!

That engine does look good James. Sorry to hear about the troubles with the car body but patience & perseverance will prevail. Great progress so far and keep on givin' this beauty the ol' "one-two".

Ok, this is cool. I have this kit but I had not considered going this route with it. Great idea and color choice.

Thank you, Joe! Ok, this is cool. I have this kit but I had not considered going this route with it. Great idea and color choice. Thank you, Brandon! I almost had to change it because my son was asking me to do red. But I pivoted and said I would find him his own kit and we could paint that one red haha. So blue it will stay! Not a lot of work was done last night. Spent most of it measuring and figuring out how I want my shelves and and bins on my storage system I am working on. It was mostly just primer parts to paint tonight, and I also wet sanded the body to prep for paint. Also, Revell... Why?

I'm going to climb under my car and check. Maybe all 1:1 cars say Revell on the bottom!

Could be worse. Could be a Ford Wonder if my dad’s Mustang has that on the bottom…🤔 Not for long if it was a sixties one. The floor and frame (at least around here) had about a 5 year life expectancy.

Taking a break from the desk build. Missed building the car. Nothing big last night just little steps as always. Removing this as it I assume, would not be included on the street legal version fo the race car as it wouldnt have that equipment inside. But you could also say the opposite.. I went with removing it. And I started painting details on the engine. Tricky because I find several different version of photos online. Also, Revell's version is pretty inaccurate but I wasn't shocked to find that.

Very cool! I've always like the Corvettes in the Le Mans series. I missed the vote though.

Good call on removing that antenna? from the roof James. Engine detail is looking nice n' crisp too. These LS motors look so dang sweet when they're all dressed up and painted.

Without doing any actual research, I will assume its for track data. Lap records GPS etc. So while I wait for these chassis parts to dry so I can assemble I put a black wash on the brakes Also decided on a color for the wheels. Was initially going to keep them black, but wanted something different. Going with Alclad Gold Titanium. Gives them a more expensive aftermarket look. I mean, you are driving a race car on the street you cant have regular black wheels. They need to be Titanium! Contrast is nice with the Tamiya Blue.

WOW Ismael, that is a wonderful build. Thank you for posting! I dont plan on changing much more from here on out. Besides colors and what decals get applied. Goodness me that thing looks fantastic. I definitely have to buy another one now to build as the actual race car at some point.
